Now that you can reserve bar seats the place is inaccessible, but still not completely full.

I have to update my review after a terrible experience today for lunch
I have been a customer since the Gaff and fully enjoyed Deep Ellum until today
There was a bar tender and presumed owner/manager present
We quickly were tended to for drink and food order and the owner brought us our Cuban sandwich that was extremely over salted and inedible
After being ignored once we stacked our full plates and empty glasses, we interrupted the conversation between the two employees on (11/19 and 1:30pm) for the check waiting for over 15 minutes to be tended to. But heard all about the employee needing health insurance. Instead of coming to us mid meal asking how it was- he focused on cleaning out a ketchup bottle.
When taking our check after request we commented that the sandwich was inedible with over salt and he said oh sorry and threw the check down with the manager in the building
Let alone the bad food, the service was equally as terrible as we were 2 patrons out of 3 and completely ignored and paid our entire bill with no remorse from the workers
After this experience- I wont be returning but glad the employee was able to obtain health insurance and clean a bucket of ketchup while we sat waiting for help.
Sad to see a place I loved fall down so hard.

Nice place for a quick lunch. The chicken sandwich was great. The soft pretzel with the beer sauce was also pretty tasty.

Incredible old school beer list, great food options, the broccoli Reuben is a favorite. Love all the German beer options!

Looking for dinner options along Moody Street and this was an easy choice. I've been to Dallas and had a fun evening in their Deep Ellum neighborhood so why would I skip the opportunity to try it again.

Lots of options here, considering we have meat eaters, pescatarians and kosher eaters in the group tonight. We started off with a plate of their pickles and they were fabulous. With it, beers! Including a draft German beer for me and a tin of a non-alcoholic for Mrs. K.

For main, I chose the Italian sandwich and it was fabulous. Well loaded and very tasty if perhaps a little messy. But that's what napkins are for. Mrs. K. chose the grilled cheese and said it was excellent.

Great service here and we had a fabulous evening. Five stars!
