Don’t waste money if you are not looking for experience of being racially discriminated by terrible service. Food is just mediocre.

There aren't many traditional French cooking restaurants left in Boston and Deuxave is our favorite. The menu changes slightly through the seasons but has the main staples throughout the year. The food is consistently well cooked and tastes great. We especially like the duck and foie gras dishes. We can always count on having a good meal here.
Not a big dessert person but really like their souffles when they're baked properly although we have had some that were too soupy to eat. We like the tasting menus that add more variety to the main menu. Recently, the mocktails have been upscaled and improved in a good way with more interesting spices.
The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet so we can actually have conversations. The staff is friendly and efficient. We really enjoy our dining experiences here.

I had a fair experience at Deuxave. The service was quite good, earning 4 stars for being attentive and professional. However, because the food and atmosphere both felt more average (3 stars each), the overall visit landed at a 3-star rating for me.

We celebrated Valentine's Day at Deuxave. The dinner was a multi course preset menu. We opted to include wine pairings. The restaurant is beautiful and atmosphere romantic. Food was variable. The oysters in the Canaveral course were old and tasted bad. The remainder of the food was good but not great. Service was the issue. Some courses were served before we finished the prior. The wine pairing was served erratically and not with the next course. The waiter didn't know the name of the wine he just served when asked. Overall, not worth the price given food quality was not exceptional and neither was the service. We had a lovely time regardless and might try another time when it is not a special event evening, likely contributing to missed opportunities.

I took my Fiancé for her 30th birthday. This is our second time at Deuxave and has cemented it as my favorite restaurant of all time. Unbelievable food. Every plate is a work of art and portions aren’t too large or small. We will be back.

It would have been helpful to know the halibut was sold out before waiting 30 minutes, especially since the server mentioned it had run out early in the evening. With limited menus.
Outstanding dinner for a special birthday. Each dish was generous and delicious. Interesting combinations that delighted us all.
My friend and I had such a great time. We had a few things. I can't remember exactly right now, but I know I had the confit, he had a brie and pear type of dish. We had the truffle fries we had ravioli we had gnocchi. It was just so good and then they had a great selection of nonalcoholic wine. The ambience was beautiful and it was just such a great time and out server was so professional and just so wonderful. The whole entire experience was great. I am talking to text for this review however, if you are in the Boston area, you must go!
Excellent!!
We had a wonderful visit and the food and service were really very good and I would absolutely recommend trying this restaurant. We had the tasting menu and the chef did a separate tasting for the one vegan we had as well. Some minor items like the bread person giving the vegan a dairy based roll and some strange tendencies with the premium wine pairing but again it was a great experience and we would absolutely go back but would order off the menu next time as it seemed rather different from the tasting menu.

Third time here over the years. First time was amazing, so kept coming back. But it's gotten a bit worse over time. Our server was not very attentive (failed to follow through on a request, was aloof in general), food not as remarkable. The host was a nice guy though - new guy working for two weeks there only so far. I think it's no longer a favorite restaurant in Boston. Ah well.

I ordered a creme brûlée... Let’s just say it was not remotely similar to normal french creme brûlée, I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed in a creme brûlée in my 20 years of living in Boston. It had apple pieces and all these other ingredients that a traditional crème brûlée never has and it cost 25$ for that? I know what I wont get moving forward.
