Wine selection was very pricey. The bottle we ended up getting was $150 and tasted rancid. The butter was extremely salty. Our reservation was made via Open Table and it seems that we were hustled into getting the tasting menu. The waitress was unpolished in her delivery. The cocktails were oddly flavored. I expected a lot more considering our meal for 3 people was $986. Very unhappy.
The food was delicious, and beautifully plated! My glass of sparkling wine was a generous pour as well — much appreciated. The tables are a little close together, so there may be the occasional moment when a server's back is uncomfortably close as they attend to the neighboring diners, but that aside, this is an absolutely lovely restaurant, and I'm sure I'll return the next time I'm in Boston.
This was our first time here and it exceeded our expectations! The food, the service the ambience were all top notch! Keep up the good work, we will be back.
It is always a delight to have an evening at Deuxave. Amazing food, great service, a beautiful room.
Lovely place- occasionally the chef and we disagree about food combos- everything mostly was delicious but the duck confit appetizer was paired with a mass of very overly vinegary greens- didn't work for me. Everything else did
Exceptional food and service. Halibut and scallops both excellent, as was the beet salad. Remains at the top of Boston restaurants!
Lives up to expectations. Everything/anything duck is outstanding. Service is very good. It is not high paced, but that is purposeful - they don't rush you out to turn over the table like other places. Overall a very nice experience.
Luxury wine pairing option wasn't anything to write home about, but the house martini was a 10/10, the chef's tasting menu was an 11/10 — and the service was a 13/10. Can't wait to go back!
Very pricey. The food was excellent in term of presentation and taste. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. Excellent dining experience.
This is a memorable restaurant of impeccably high standards. I can find no fault, except that the portion sizes might have been larger. Four of us shared two appetizers, which might have been a mistake, as these portions were modest. The entrees were excellent, but could have accommodated something extra on the plates - a few asparagus spears or broccoli rabe, for example. But, overall, this was the perfect restaurant for the annual gathering of old college friends now in their 80's!

The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and a solid menu with some really good options. The food was tasty and nicely presented, though a few dishes could have used more flavor or creativity. What really stood out, however, was that the service wasn't as good as expected. Staff were polite, but not very attentive — we had to wait longer than usual to get drinks refilled and to place additional orders.
I've been to Deuxave many times. Perhaps this was just an off night, but it seems to have come down in service. Not only did we have to wait too long for our first courses, for which they did apologize, the whole evening just felt off. The server was nice enough but not engaging nor professional. He did not seem to know how to pour water without making a mess. He did not seem to know basic etiquette like taking the order from my elderly mother first, then proceeding to the women in the group before asking me. In the end, the service was just not good. The food was better, but still not great. For this restaurant and for the astounding prices they're charging, the food should have been stellar. It was only good.
My wife and I are foodies and have been so lucky as to travel a lot and to dine at many Michelin Stared restaurants. Deuxave ranks right up with the best of them. The food is the star of the show: highly creative dishes, but all towards making the dish perfect--not just for show. Staff were great, we were on a timeline and they provided great service and guidance on ordering to help keep us on schedule. The Somm was friendly and knowledgeable and our wine was excellent.
This was our first trip to Deuxave. The Lobster gnocchi appetizer was excellent. The main courses didn't live up to our expectations. We felt the meal wasn't worth the price.
The scallops were very salty. The carpacio was excellent. Duck confit was excellent, but duck breast was just ok.
