Good coffee. Wanted to support the community stopping in, but Service & atmosphere could be better. I’ll stick to madhouse up the street

Was there to meet someone, so I only had coffee. Good coffee, good atmosphere, still a good place.

I went to order lunch today. The cashier sees me and proceeds to continue cleaning the toaster. The guy at the sandwich station gets her attention and tells here there is a customer waiting. Her response was: "I am not blind" but continues to clean the toaster, counter, utensils, etc. making a point that I should wait for her to decide to walk over and take my order. I walked away without ordering and will never go back.

I'm born and Raised in North Carolina by 2 parents from Massachusetts. I was skeptical about the Pulled Pork sandwich. It was amazing though. Nice relaxing yet upbeat spot as well.

Although I haven't visited Dudley Cafe as a customer yet, I did visit after ordering one of their Surprise Bags on Too Good To Go! The cost of the bag was $5, with a pickup window between 2 and 3pm on a weekday. I seemingly surprised the worker at the counter by showing up at the beginning of the pickup window. They said people usually come closer to 3, so I'll try that next time to see if my experience is different. Despite the confusion, I was given a bag with an apple scone and a Greek salad. On their own, these seemed reasonably priced for the quality. The scone was a bit dry (to be expected) but otherwise very tasty. The Greek salad featured fresh vegetables and a great dressing, yum! There were only a few people in there when I visited, so I'm not sure that it gets very busy. It seems like a great, calm cafe to come grab a bite to eat alone or with a friend. Looking forward to my next visit!

really love the concept, A+ for effort, but it fell flat for me in every other way. The staff is very kind and you can tell that they are doing their best. However, they are forgetful and sometimes you’ll be standing there for a while before they remember your order. The food is very mid. I’ve tried three different rice bowls on three different occasions and the rice is always dry. Always. I decided to switch gears and try the Nubians favorite sandwich (chicken, pesto, sun-dried, tomatoes, provolone cheese, etc.) and the chicken was dry beyond belief.I really want to support this business, but they make it hard when there’s nothing on the menu to enjoy. Maybe I’ll make one less effort and try the burritos or quesadillas?

Ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Loved that it was pressed. I also ordered a mocha coffee, and a Caesar wrap for lunch that I haven't tried yet but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Thank you!

Really nice staff but a very mediocre sandwich. I am not sure if I was handed someone else’s order but I got the new edition that was pretty much just sweet potato in toasted bread, it was missing all the other ingredients.

Stopped by the new Cambridge location this morning and wow! So impressed, already excited to go back. That stretch of Mass Ave has been lacking a good (locally-owned) cafe for a while (the one by Linnaean isn't my favorite, sorry!). We tried the breakfast sandwiches and a couple iced teas (sweet tea and the purple rain) and both were fantastic. The sandwiches were so well-seasoned, just the right level of spicy, and, call me crazy, they were BEAUTIFUL! Shiny, golden brown, toasted brioche with perfect griddle lines. This one definitely makes my top five bfast sandwiches, a ranking I don't take lightly The two workers were also super nice. I hope regular Starbucks customers will see Dudley Cafe right across the street and give it a chance - hoping this place becomes a neighborhood staple.

The Dudley St. Cafe I've been coming to when bringing a loved one into outpatient surgery. The Jamacan j*** chicken stew is ?. I looked up ingredients! The sister behind the counter has the eye necklace. That's humanity family for me.

I think the staff is so kind and friendly but every time I have had coffee here, it’s tasted burnt and been gross. They do not know how to make a cappuccino. Just some advice, after you are done steaming, tap the milk against the counter to get rid of any bubbles and then swish so the foam consistency is good. The espresso seems to be pouring for too long because I continue to get disgusting coffee thats burnt. Its just absolutely terrible and I leave Dudley Cafe mad every time because I want to enjoy the cafe but its terrible. The pacman sandwhich I had was dry. The roxbury deluxe was not that good. I think part of it might be new experience. It is a great neighborhood spot, I’ve just been so disappointed by the quality it is not my first choice in the area
