3.5 stars - not bad but not great
I got takeout from here because they were having a buy one get one free deal on almost everything on the menu and scally and pancakes have gotten so expensive it's mind-blowing. The ingredients for them cost like a cent and people are charging $12 for one order it's wild!!!!!!
Anyway we used to make scallion pancakes at home so I know very well the most important part of scallion pancakes is the flakiness. Well. The scallion pancakes they served had zero flakiness whatsoever. I do not think they laminated the dough at all (created a bunch of layers similar to a croissant) and they just made the dough and spread it out and fried it. It was one solid piece with legitimately not one single flake.
The flavor of the dough was not bad and I also got the scallion beef sandwich which I thought was tasty aside from the scallion part.
They were very nice to us when we went in to pick up the food.
I think a 3.5 is pretty generous but because the stuff was so nice and the general flavors were good I'll just take off one star for making the worst scallion pancakes I've ever had.
Seriously you could buy frozen ones from the grocery store and they would be perfect and flaky and delicious, I just hate deep frying in my house.
Not sure why the low reviews. Service was great and the pork soup dumplings are a must. Would recommend for a Chinatown stop!

I've been eating here for 12 years and keep coming back.
Food is always good, service has improved and they are alert to help, food comes out quick. Try the eggplant- unusual thick sauce a little spice, very smooth. Dumplings and scallion pancakes are great and the atmosphere is just good not fancy-nice view of washington st.. Chopsticks a little chunky. Seafood seems authentic.I'll be back.

Everything is so good! Service is fast and food comes out quickly. We got cucumber salad, pan seared wontons and the mini juicy buns with pork, sooooo good. We came back twice in a week.

Ate one bite. Asked for my bill and left. I was super hungry and it wasn't even worth the calorie intake. Tasted like a ball of slimy flour. The sauce was the consistency of wall paint. Literally zero flavor. Best part was the server didnt even ask me if I wanted a box or question if everything was OK. Wasn't even worth having a conversation about it from my point of view. Ill just leave a review so the next person doesnt get taken advantage of. Week old, left over panda express would be a better bet.

Everything was just too salty. Was really hoping to love it given what we'd heard but it just wasn't very good. Not great value either - since when did a plate of pot stickets cost $13? At least they were pretty fast.

I've never had such terrible Chinese food before. The takeout I ordered didn't even come with cutlery.

Don’t let the negative comments turn you away… we travel from lakes region NH at least 4-6 times a month for this place… Singapore noodles , twice cooked pork and salt and pepper shrimp are a couple of our favorites… and the Taiwanese dumplings are worth the trip.
