East Meets West was our caterer for our wedding and they are INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend booking them! They are unlike any other caterer or venue - they let us customize our menu entirely and this is their normal practice! Plus everything was DELICIOUS! Our coordinator, Catherine, was so helpful and communicative. We called her Catherine the Great! And Chef Kevin is a treasure and real artist with food!
It is hard to decide what the best part of working with East Meets West Catering is! The amazing people who work there, or the amazing food they prepare. We had them cater a station-style Bat Mitzvah luncheon for our daughter and everyone 3 to 93 was raving about the food. The staff from the event coordinator to the servers that day were all professional, caring and helpful. wonderfully responsive and impeccably easy to work with. Look forward to having a reason to use them again!
EMW catered our city wedding and the food was absolutely perfect! We were so lucky to have Catherine as our coordinator. I relied on Catherine’s expertise during the process. She knew what was best for our space and our vision. Our guests raved about the food and loved that they could get second servings since it was a buffet.
EMW Catering did a wonderful job setting up lite bites and beverage service in a reception for about 150 people following a church memorial service. They took the load completely off me. The event was professionally organized, the event planner previewed the site, she made excellent suggestions to improve the event and the staff executed seamlessly the presentation of wonderful food. Kudos!
Lovely service and excellent food made for an unforgettable dinner under the stars.
We recently hosted a gathering (graduation plus family celebration), which East meets West catered. Really, though, they did more than catering alone! The staff, a team of 4, arrived in plenty of time to set things up, decorate, prep the passed appetizers, organize beverages, and get ready. Once guests arrived (a larger group for a reception, then dinner for family), the team welcomed guests, served drinks, passed several tasty hors d’oeuvres, cleaned up, and contributed to the overall festivities. And then they served a delicious dinner for the smaller group. Everyone was super professional, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. They also did a great job cleaning/packing up. They made it easy for us to enjoy a special celebration!
The worst catering I’ve ever experienced.
Unfortunately they didn’t remember taking my booking when I wanted to change the date. And didn’t return the call for the date change. I’ve never had this happen before. She asked me the date of the call like she never spoke to me and then explained how busy they are. I suspect that won’t be the case for long unless desperate. I was recommended by my building concierge that won’t happen again to another resident. Disappointing to say the least and amateur for certain.
Displeased with the food served at my wedding.
Two weeks ago we had an engagement party for our daughter and fiance and we hired East Meets West to cater it. We are SO glad we did. The search for a caterer started in August and Catherine Steinhoff from East Meets West was the first to call me back. After speaking with two other catering outfits it became clear that Catherine was the partner we wanted for this special event. From working through logistics like the location and interior setup of the tent to where to put the coffee, Catherine was helpful, creative and thoughtful. When we ordered the food she was knowledgeable and helpful about the number of dishes to serve and quantities for each dish. She also recommended a liquor vendor that will provide liquor in bulk and pick up what we don't consume (I didn't know this was a thing). On the day of the event, Barb (the event manager) and her crew were first rate, from helping with final setup to serving great mixed drinks, preparing and serving REALLY GOOD FOOD, and cleaning up when it was over. Afterward, our family and friends offered unanimous praise of the catering effort. I can't recommend East Meets West highly enough!!!

Just saw an elderly woman almost get hit by a car in front of their location. When I asked why she was parking so far away and shuffling with her walker she mentioned there were multiple residential spots taken up by this catering company so she couldn’t park where she always tries to.PLEASE STOP PARKING ILLEGALLY OVERNIGHT IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS, this is an elderly housing development, so that’s the parking spaces your company is taking. Maybe if she had been killed East Meets West would start to care? I have made so many calls to this company and am always told they won’t park there anymore. I gave up after months of this. The next night? Same issue. Finally tonight I reached out to the manager on her cell bc her number was posted. She threatened to call the police on me (after I asked them and eventually demanded she or someone else come move their illegally parked vehicles). Please call the police lady, I can point out exactly which of your company’s illegally parked vehicles should be towed.DO NOT use this company if you care about your neighbors.i could not be more infuriated by the GM’s reply “but I live far away! I couldn’t possibly be expected to come move those vehicles!” But “I couldn’t possibly be expected to get off my lazy *sa and have another coworker or myself move our vehicles to show that we truly care about our elderly neighbors” is what she should have said.
The food is exquisite! The knowledgeable staff ensure your event is tailored to match your heart's desire!
I used East Meets West for the second time and the food and the staff was just as amazing at the first time. So professional and friendly and the food is spectacular! I wholeheartedly recommend them!
