1st visit..very impressive decor and ambience....sat at the bar for lunch and had great service from Alejandro....
oysters were sublime , ambience was 10/10 hostess did tell me it'd be a 25 min wait even with reservation but we went on NYE to be fair, and we were actually accommodated way faster than that!
Dinner was fine, not the best steak (mine was dry) but the service was terrible. Didn't order our meal until 1.5 hrs from being seated. Water was empty most of the dinner. Just not attentive & we said something to the waitress with no apology or attempt to fix. All in all, for spending $250 for a meal not worth it.
We went here on NYE and was expecting top notch service. We did not receive that. While the food was good, the service was awful. The appetizer plates remained at the table while our entrees came and we only saw the waiter twice the whole night. We spoke to another couple later in the night and they had the exact same experience. Not sure if they were overwhelmed by NYE requests, but the restaurant didn't seem overly busy.
While I do not consider this fine dining, the food was excellent. The server was not as attentive as one would expect from a fine dining establishment. The salads and sides were quite expensive. Overall it was a good experience and I would go back knowing what to expect.
This is the best restaurant in Boston. I wish I could gatekeep it but I wish them all the best. The food is just amazing.
The hostess took us the back road through the wait station and by ways of the kitchen. we were seated at a a four top table to which a chair was added for the fifth person in our party. There was no table setting or glassware for the fifth guest. In the room next to us there were several five tops available that were never seated for the duration of the night. It took a very long time to get our first drink to the table. The waitress showed up and apologized for the delay. Between the wait for the waitress and the wait for the drink production I am talking 20 minutes. After the drinks arrived a new waiter showed up. The food was not great. Flavors were ok but the food was not hot. My AHI tuna steak was definitely not a fresh caught piece of tuna. In hindsight, I really expect a fresh cut piece on Christmas day... At the end of the dinner as I returned from the restroom from the corner of my eye I caught something scurrying on the floor. Did not say anything until my son confirmed the same thing I was thinking. A mousy running across the floor into the corner of the booth. We must say that our expectations definitely were not met. Thank you for your consideration.
The best ! The New Orleans mixed grill is my go to ALL the time🥰. Abby's service was an essential part of the special Christmas dinner prepared and served to us by Eddie Merlot's!! 🐶
Fantastic server and table side prep. Timing of courses was impeccable. I had noted birthday as our occasion and a cake and candle appeared magically. By the time we left, the place was packed but staff still helped find us a cab. Definitely will return.
Absolutely a wonderful establishment. Was greeted warmly, and our Server, Maria, was on point. Welcoming and professional. The value of the Food, Beverage, and Service was exceptional. I will be back!

Overall fantastic dinner! Had a large group and i everyone had a meal they enjoyed! The waiter timed our meals perfectly, and we weren't rushed to order. Seamless dining from start to finish!
Apps and cocktails at the bar. Everything was great. Healthy sized drink, apps were delicious and service was very good.
food was incredible! filets were cooked to a perfect medium and the mashed potatos and creamed spinach were delicious. food took a while to come out but we were comped for a dessert
We quickly orders drinks and waited quite a while for them to arrive. My place setting was missing forks for our split salad course, which arrived before our appetizer and a second cocktail. We noticed the air conditioner was on and it was 31 degrees outside. Oh we're having an issue with the building. They offered to move us, but our dinner arrived, piping hot on hot plates. We shared a bottle of red wine and forgot about the chill in the air...! Lovely dinner and surroundings. Just chilly.
Excellent food. Service was poor. Had to ask for the bottle of wine we ordered, had to ask for refills of water and wine. Cold air blowing on us entire evening. Had to wear winter coats while we ate. Other guests also wearing their coats.
