Damani took the best care of my friends and I! The drinks were to die for, I mean one of the best bartenders I’ve met in Boston. Highly recommend

I had a wonderful birthday dinner at Eddie Merlot’s. Vanessa was an amazing server very kind, polite, and bilingual. She made me feel comfortable and was incredibly understanding and reassuring throughout the evening. Thank you, Vanessa, for making my night extra special!

Everything was amazing - ambience, service, drinks and food. We had salads, steaks, sides, and cocktails- all were phenomenal. Our waitress, Vanessa, was great and took very good care of us. 5 stars all the way!

Meh. Not sure how it has 4.8 stars. The place was empty and the food was underwhelming. Would suggest any of the other steakhouses in the Seaport.

EDIT to my review- Tony from corporate reached out to me and was very concerned about my experience. He informed me he will be taking a trip to Boston to meet with the GM and executive chef. Tony also asked me if would give them a second chance and I agreed. He had guest relations reach out to me and they sent me a gift card. Over all I am not letting one incident ruin my experience and I will come back. 100 starts for their customer service and support.
I was really excited to try Eddie Merlot’s for my birthday, especially since I had heard good things and we were staying nearby in the Seaport. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected.
We started with the beef carpaccio, something I’ve only had once before at another restaurant. After eating a couple of pieces from the edges, we noticed that the center of the dish was still frozen. This was pretty off-putting, as carpaccio should definitely not be served frozen. To their credit, the manager handled it well—he comped the appetizer and offered us a replacement and a free dessert to make up for it.
We went with the romaine salad next, which was okay, but it had more of a wedge salad presentation than what we expected from a traditional romaine salad.
For the main course, we had steak, potatoes, and asparagus. We ordered our steak medium well, but it arrived cooked medium rare. At that point, we decided not to complain and just eat it as-is. We also had a bottle of red wine with dinner, which was fine.
The real low point came with the desserts. They brought over a complimentary crème brûlée for my birthday, but it was not cold at all, which is a problem for a dessert that’s supposed to have a chilled custard base. We also tried the brownie, which tasted overwhelmingly of cognac—so much so that it was hard to enjoy.
The customer service and atmospheres was the one bright spot—our server and the manager were professional and tried to make things right. However, based on the issues with food temperature, quality, and how I felt afterward, I would recommend caution to anyone planning to dine here.

We visited while on a business trip to Boston. Fine dining at its best for sure. All food was amazing. Crab cakes, shrimp, scallops, steak, the best lobster roll I have ever had. Somehow the bun was almost better than the lobster! Cocktails were all on point as well. We sat at the bar top. Grace was a wonderful server and took great care of us. If I am ever back to Boston it will be my first dinner back in town!

Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. The staff was terrific, the ambience was relaxing and the food, from the french onion soup to the tomahawk ribeye for two to the banana foster was absolutely a joy to our taste buds.
