Came here for a quick lunch with some friends. I got a steak burrito with no sour cream and guacamole. The portion was big although they charged extra for guacamole and steak, so I felt it was quite expensive for what it was. The burrito was good, although the guacamole and cheese were not evenly distributed throughout — I got a huge lump of cheese towards the end of the burrito. The inside was very clean and had a great ambiance, though, and the service was very quick and friendly....

I love coming here on my lunch break. The food is always ready before I get here and is 10/10! I highly recommend el barrio!!!

Vegetarian options: I get bean burritos and guacamole! Vegan options are also available!

There have been a number of Mexican restaurants opening up in the South End over the recent years and mostly pretty good. If you are messing up Mexican food, something is wrong. El Barrio is not messing up Mexican food. The food is delicious. Joandry, the owner, is passionate about the food they make and the recipes. Enjoy their food and grab a bottle of their hot sauce. Spicy, with flavor!
