I had an amazing experience at El Peñol. The food came out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I ordered the breaded chicken with fries, and it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—really well seasoned too. The side dish of beans with rice was comforting and tasted homemade.
The portions are generous, Vall the server she is friendly, and the atmosphere feels warm and authentic. Also, they brought out the sauces right away, and everything tasted great together.
Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you want delicious Colombian-style comfort food.

Went here for the first time today for lunch. Was greeted quickly and friendly. Ordered the Res Sancocho (beef) It had fork tender beef, plantain, potato, and Yuca in the delicious broth. It was NUCLEAR hot, so be careful. So very flavorful. Served with a side of rice and fried plantain. It was also served with a mini arepa with cheese in it. Unfortunately the inside was cold. It would have been much better had it been hot all the way through. It was amazing and I can't wait to come back and try some more of the dishes. Prices are also really reasonable, especially for Boston.

I really liked this place. I had the mini paisa plate and a coconut lemonade. The coconut lemonade was great, and I love plantains and they were delicious. Super generous portions. It has a nice family vibe and the staff is really nice

We are from upstate New York and my husband surprised me with a trip to Cape Cod for the weekend. We landed and took off from Boston. My husband is Colombian and whenever we get a chance to eat Colombian food we do. We stopped at El Peñol. It was small, cute and service was great . Colombian people are usually super nice and it was no different here. Definitely get the empanadas!!! My husband got the Bandeja Paísa and I got a soup. Beware they serve alit which not a bad thing. Definitely a must if you are in the area.

Very good food. Excellent service.
Went for a quick snack/craving and noticed the waiting line as well as frequent orders to go. This place is a must for Colombian food in Boston. Also, very conveniently located near the airport. Getting a taxi might be the best way to go as the maps app might have little bugs and also the fact that parking is limited in the area.

Had the opportunity to try traditional Colombian breakfast right here in Boston. One of my friends was gracious enough to take me to this little hole in the wall place and it was excellent. I would definitely recommend.
