Authentic French patisserie and bistro. Larger with more seating than the Portsmouth location. Pastry is artistically displayed and tastes even better. Short walk from south station, just beyond the Milk Bottle. A wonderful place for a sit down snack or meal as well as coffee and treats.

The banana bread was delicious 😋😋😋
The turkish egg was good but if you really dont like garlic avoid it, i found the black coffee bad personally but my friend likes it and the latte was 10/10
I think the restaurant deserves the 5 stars 🌟
While it’s still really busy at Elephantine a few months after opening, the food is worth the wait. The pastries, especially their cardamom bun, are delicious and their prepared food is also quite good. Their coffee and tea is also very good.

I love baked goods but am an addicted to excellent baked goods. I put Elephantine in the addiction category. I randomly found them recently when I was in the seaport district and needing to find pastries for a brunch. Immediately when you walk in you are taken by the space. Unlike many sterile white cafe bakeries, elephantine has a warm inviting atmosphere. The baked goods range from classic pain chocolate to the unusual double pain chocolate and the pistachio croissant. The cardamom buns are incredibly tasty without being overwhelmingly sweet. The pain levain is beautifully proofed and baked to create a wonderful crust with an incredible chewy web structure. The service was friendly and efficient. It reminds me of European artisanal bakeries and early days of 90’s bakery renaissance in Boston. I hope they will manage to keep the quality and innovation.

I was introduced to this Cafe/bakery a few years ago in New Hampshire. I am thrilled that they are now in the Seaport area. I went on opening day. Great locale ,high ceilings, nice architectural touches, just a great ambiance. Lots of space. Delicious food, creative menu. If you like intense hot chocolate, try their chocolate drink !
Friendly and professional service. Can hardly wait to return.

We were waiting for the Boston Tea Party business to open and wanted a cafe for breakfast. Wow were we happy with his place. The whole vibe was awesome. Everyone working were like bees, everywhere with their job getting done. I had the Egyptian bread putting and Elephantine egg sandwich, my wife had and almond croissant and a pretzel. All the food was top notch! The staff were very attentive and made sure we were seated and had all our items. You have to try this place.

If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would, ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE IN ALL ASPECTS!!
First of all, the atmosphere is so carefully curated, everything from the tiling, mirrors, wooden seating, to the unique bouquets of flowers is so gorgeous, I feel like i’ve been transported when I step into this place.
NOW the food… to die for, put simply. I have a hard time finding cardamom anything (true cardamom) and this place has an incredible cardamom coffee with a house made syrup thats sooooo good. They also have cardamom buns which I haven’t tried yet but I want to note.. there are NO places that sell cardamom buns in the city, so this is so exciting. The turkish poached eggs was so insanely delicious . It was a dish that was mostly simple ingredients with some unique touches that overall blew me away.
Service of course was incredibly kind and the couple who owns this place are AMAZING!!!
Huge fan I will definitely be returning as often as I can

5 stars, amazing coffee shop. Will get nit-picky with the details I would want to know before visiting here:
-Not a ton of outlets. This isn't really a work/study space, more of a special-outing cafe experience type place.
-Separate M/F single-stall bathrooms (1 each). Extremely clean - which i'm sure is representative of their kitchen as well (not that you need to guess because they have a giant glass window into their kitchen where you can see how everything is made) and opulent decorating as well!
-Still an order-at-the-counter place like most coffee shops (not table service)
-Water dispenser was available with (fancy) glasses, seemed like it was consistently refilled for the ~3 hours i spent there.
-Cashiers/servers/bussers were cheerful and welcoming.
-Noise level is like a medium-loud restaurant with dishes/silverware clanging and chatter echoing an lots of hard surfaces. You're definitely still able to hear eachother talk no problem, but it's not going to be the soft and quiet coffee shop vibe. They do play some quiet piano music over the speakers, but you may not hear it too much over the crowd noise.
All in all, this has the air of an elegant European coffee house where aesthetics are prioritized, and the quality of the baked goods match the quality of their surroundings. The eggs and pastries I ordered were delicious. The chocolate in the mocha latte mayyyybe could have been a little more prominent (looks like they melt mini chocolate chips with the espresso but don't whip it in before pouring the milk), but i'm definitely splitting hairs there, still very tasty. I liked the texture of the croissant, where you could tell they put in the effort to cram in as many layers as possible, but when i bit into it, it didn't crumble and flake everywhere in a big mess like most croissants i've had (big plus in my book). I'm really glad they opened up this space here, they seemed to think of just about everything. I will definitely be going back!
