Garlic shrimp was highly rated by many. I thought they were good but not exceptional. Calamari was fresh but again not special. Fried monk fish bites, mushrooms toast and short ribs flatbread were good. Sangria was a bit on the sweet side but good overall. It was a v generous large glass of it. Service was good, comfortable, attentive and not overbearing. I would go back and try the paella next time.
They serve really interesting and well prepared food and drinks. It's a good zied menu with options for everyone and the service was great.
Estragon is an absolute gem! The food was fantastic — especially the toast, which was perfectly crisp and full of flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The service was equally impressive — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Can't wait to come back!
This place holds a special place in my heart for my family and I. We have been coming here for years and this place never disappoints. We had our engagement party, pre wedding party and so many more parties! The food never fails us (bring back the bread pudding though PLEASE), the quality is incredible, and the cocktails are always on point. We had one of our fave server Brian always take care of us until he sadly passed, and that has not stopped us from coming. If you want great food drinks and a service staff that truly feels like family, come here!

Service was a bit slow even though restaurant was only half full. Some food came out lukewarm instead of hot. Otherwise good variety of dishes, good flavors, and reasonable prices.
We came for our Anniversary and had an absolutely fabulous time. I love the decor and vibe - very jazz chic with giant white feather plumes in arrangements and lots of art. The cocktails were very good - I had the grapefruit gimlet at a spritz, and my husband had the delta dawn. He also had a sherry and a vermouth from their extensive wine selection as suggested by our server to pair with the courses. Our server did a wonderful job arranging our experience just so based on our choices and how they would fit together. And now the food! Everything was delicious and just enough of it. We started with the crispy artichokes and the charcuterie board - loved the fig jam with the cured meats. Then we had the calamari, smelt, and cuttlefish so delicately fried and salted, which balanced nicely with the gambas that made me want to drink the garlic oil in the dish! We finished with the toasts, where it seems you can't go wrong. The chicken liver, goat cheese, black sausage, and flank steak with blue cheese were all delicious. And we did almond cake and churros for dessert - I loved the chewy crunchiness of the churros. So happy we chose here to celebrate our anniversary, and our server was celebrating 16 years at the restaurant too! A perfect evening, couldn't recommend it more :)
We have never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere is funky and great. Very authentic tapas.

To put this review in to context, I’m comparing to the other major tapas bar in Boston:
The food is incredible. The star of our experience was the toasts, of which we got 8 (all options) for 5 people. The best were the blood sausage and the mushroom.
The fish of the day was monkfish and was great, the octopus was miraculously tender!
The shishito peppers were as they should be, the croquetas were fine. Patatas bravas, while good, were not as good as Barca wine bar’s.
We got the pitcher of hibiscus Margarita and it blew me away! So great, and reasonably priced! Would order again in a heartbeat.
Ultimately, the food here was incredible and the experience was pretty upscale. The ambiance was just alright, nothing to write home about.
Dessert was good, but not great- olive oil mousse was super interesting. Would not recommend the peach sorbet (we got chocolate sorbet, which was great but a weird choice for peach. Another flavor could’ve been better)
We all wound up decently full and had one drink, paid around $50/pp. For the price point, 4 stars. Otherwise easily 5 star food!
Highly recommend as a date spot and definitely don’t skip the toast :)
If you’re looking for some grub at a cheaper price point, Barcelona wine bar is a decent alternative.

Food, ambiance, and service were all fantastic - very knowledgeable and friendly staff, and you really can’t go wrong on the menu. Ask about the sherry options, you’ll learn a lot! Will definitely be back.
Dishes ordered for 2 very hungry people: 4 pintxos (pringa, queso de cabra, setas al ajillo, txangurro), aceitunas, pa amb tomaquet, gambas al ajillo, serrano+manchego, tortilla española, 2 croquetas, churros for dessert.
Standouts: the 4 pintxos, pa amb tomaquet with anchovies & croquetas - but all dishes were great and made better with recommended sherry pairings (fino and amontillado) from our very helpful server.
Can’t recommend enough!

Estragon provides an amazing vibe and environment, excellently made cocktails, spectacular service (with very affable and engaging servers) and outstanding food. We're regulars there for a good reason.

Truly authentic Spanish experience! All the entrees and desserts were very flavorful and true to Spain. Significant servings of the Gambas al Ajillo and pulpo. Love the almond flour dessert. Attentive and knowledgeable server.
Excited to try something new and different. Food was good except for Mixta which was extremely fishy and chewy. All of our food came out staggered and we had to get up to find the server for one of our dinners. Overall I would say worth trying for some different food, but won't be rushing back.
Food was delicious! Service left some to be desired, but I never felt it was mean spirited, just maybe a new server. I really appreciated the attention to my allergies, i would recommend on that alone but the food really is top notch!

The tapas at Estragón were authentic, delicious and ample enough to share. The carrots and desserts were my favorites. The service was exceptional - thank you, Tony Pires! I definitely recommend this restaurant. We even found free on street parking - unheard of!
We love this place; we'd go here more often if parking was easier. The tapas are superb, and the friendly staff makes the whole experience wonderful.
