Eventide

The building is clean and has a pretty, modern interior. Customer service was fine nothing particularly warm, but not rude either, just neutral.

We came on a Friday around 5 p.m., and the restaurant was surprisingly empty with only two other tables occupied. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated quickly. However, booths are only available if you have a prior reservation.

A great little place.
It’s unpretentious, the food is great and the service is easygoing.
Ask for the oyster tasting notes if you get a chance. This was a nice touch when we visited.

If you love oysters, you must visit Eventide. I visited late one recent afternoon and learned they had a special of buy one get one on the oysters. Wow! They had 6 MA oysters, some from ME, RI and CT on the menu that day. I had a perfect dozen from MA. I also tried the Butternut squash-crab soup which was delectable. I also tried the lobster roll which was not like the typical MA lobster roll -this one was in browned butter. It was also a great choice. The wait staff was...
