Whoever is in charge of these Google reviews needs to take a class in owning a business and respecting customers. That’s not how you conduct a business, and seeing the response to other customers experience does not interest me in coming back.

Such a great idea and super creative cocktails. The menu and evening unfolded like a story. Unfortunately, the host was abrasive. For example, he prepared a drink other than what I ordered, which his assistant pointed out and I affirmed, but he stated that I must have misremembered what I wanted and refused to make a new one. Not a huge deal, but an expensive evening for second choices. Conversation overall with him was difficult - which I interpreted through a gendered lens; too bad because the joy of such a small venue is being able to have warm connections with customers. Alas! Perhaps just an off night.

Best cocktail experience in Boston! I worked with Phil to plan a private birthday event at Farmacia. Phil was incredibly responsive and easy to work with from my initial outreach. The cocktails are unique and perfectly crafted and the snacks were just as delicious. Phil is very knowledgeable, engaging, and truly elevated the experience for all guests. Will certainly be back for a night out or another event!

I visited Farmacia with two colleagues on June 28th, 2023 and although the desired “speakeasy” setting was appealing the energy of our “host” aka the beverage master aka the master of festivities aka the owner was unappealing then and my testimony proved right tonight. Beverages were interesting and the food was cute, certainly wasn’t the vibe I expected as it was rushed and arrogant.
I ran into Phillip tonight outside of a very well established staple in Boston while having a moment catching up with a friend and he offered us edibles from his packet and we politely declined. He then decided the continue to intrude in our conversation by asking about our “duties” in the establishment in which I am not employed at and then he heavily invested the energy to figure out what I do and I stated I am an event designer and then he aggressively started to field my expertise and my resume as he was intoxicated beyond his limits (glazing eyes, slurring, the whole 9) and especially since he had a hard time figuring out where his Uber was walking back and fourth.
I let Phillip know that it wasn’t the time nor place to discuss this especially since I had no investment in even speaking to him in the first place however I guess his ego got the best of him, boohoo - Grow Up. He then ensured that we both understood he was the owner and operator of Farmacia by shouting it three times and was quite displeased with my reaction to my visit at the establishment and then firmly stated his plethora of event experience by shouting the cities he’s linked in and worked in and resulted to tell me - that I am not an event producer. LOL.
I wasn’t impressed then and I am surely not impressed now with this direct interaction.
