Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We ate here few times while we were in Boston and every time was excellent. The manager, Ramses, could not have been more kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend and will most certainly go back.

Very nice atmosphere right in downtown Boston. Plus can’t beat their $1 oysters deal!

Can’t express just how Fin Point surpassed all expectations for our private networking dinner. Food was perfect, the private dining room just beautiful and the service impeccable. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Boston!

Wine by the glass selection is not up to the standard of the menu- the sparklings in particular were not good and a suggested Chardonnay as a replacement for one on the menu but not available was below average. One entree was not hot and then not returned to the table for quite a while - the other diners at the table were nearly finished eating once it was. Never a fan of charging bread service, which was paltry: three slices of bread with a small serving of butter. I know the business; it's tough, but just average top to bottom.

The service was amazing. We had a medium sized party of 7 people, and most of them were running late. The server asked if we wanted to wait for the rest of the party to show, instead of being impatient. Overall, excellent service!

This is not a fine dining restaurant. This is at best a hotel connected restaurant. We gave it a solid try and ran up $300 bill for three people. Oysters were good as our first course. Got an old fashion and my glass was literally half full. The supplier of the the food is good as we got all seafood but dishes are uninspired and not good portions. Wife got the salmon and average flavor small portion, lots of rice. I got the Cioppino and the clams were rubbery, the pasta was flavorless and the sauce was very watery with no flavor, definitely not a lobster sauce. By far the worst I have had. My daughter got the lobster ravioli and she said it was just good. Ambiance wise there is none. The pictures in the website are false. There was a some that had her laptop on her table working. I'd say if you're in the hotel and want to grab a quick bite and maybe have some oysters it's fine, but to consider this fine dining go somewhere else. I honestly am starting to question the OpenTable and Yelp reviews, there is no way this could be rated as high as it was.

really disappointing last night. Used to love this place but food mediocre at best and service shockingly bad and cocktails undrinkable and overpriced….

Highly recommendFood was amazingChicken dish was very tender and tasty with creamy mashed potatoes. The lobster ravioli were fantastic - the ravioli was in a brown sauce with mushrooms and paired great with red wineThe clam chowder had a nice subtle bacon flavor to it and truly top shelf for a chowder aficionadoThe wine list by the glass was decent but not amazing. Thats where I’d upgrade given the food is so goodThe ambiance was really good. Nice subtle background music. Great dim lighting but not too dark. Furnishings and wall decor was very tasteful and modern, the TVs were subtle but available where you can catch a game but not be diverted from conversationVery nice raw bar with a few oyster selections.Again would highly recommend - not super cheap nor pricey and worth the money.Dinner for 3 with 2 drinks each and a shared dessert was $200. For Boston a reasonable tab.

We had a wonderful experience last night. The chef through coordination with our server accommodated our medically necessary low sodium diet. Our chicken dish was one of the best we have had in years in a restaurant. We felt cared for with attentive service. We would highly recommend Fin Point for your next dining experience.

This was my second time visiting. It's a great spot. Not too loud, nice ambiance, great food and drinks, and the service is outstanding. I'm vegetarian and there were some nice options (salads, soup, pizza).

Bestservice

I greatly hesitated on completing this review, because the manager was absolutely wonderful. She is the epitome of class, and really tried to accommodate us in the chaos that was Valentine's Day. However, we were seated in the worst possible table. We had a highly inattentive waiter, Orlando. There was a long wait between courses. We only received one dessert. It was nothing short of disastrous. It is difficult to judge a restaurant based on a day with such a high volume, but I won't be going back.

Valentines. Everything about the night was great, except that I chose this restaurant because their reservation system allowed for a choice of the regular menu or a prix-fixe menu. My wife is very particular about the foods she eats, so the entire reason I chose this restaurant was that the full menu would have been available. We only discovered after sitting and presented with the prix-fixe menu that the regular menu was not available. We discussed leaving, but on valentines day, the probability of getting into a comparable restaurant was next to zero. We were able to navigate the limited choices and ended up having an enjoyable evening, but this could have been terrible. I learned that I absolutely need to call and confirm on these occasion nights, but the restaurant also needs to get this right. Someone had to set up the reservation system to allow for both reservations, so that same someone should have been able to remove the option of the regular menu.
