This was a random pick as we needed someplace within walking distance from our hotel before going to the airport. What a hidden gem! We had a large party and they were able to seat us right away. Everyone in the party got different things but everyone loved their food. The portions were large, the food delicious and the atmosphere was a cool, laid back vibe. I would highly recommend!

We loved our meals, but I really miss the bean avocado veggie tacos. I had the hummus potato avocado and it isn't at all the same (and not as healthy w the fried potatoes). We loved seeing an old the kung fu movie playing at the bar. Overall, love this neighborhood restaurant and vibe. Thank you!

At arrival, the staff was very friendly and seated us promptly. However, the service was some- what lacking, and I never complain about restaurant service. We were seated outside near other patrons, and the restaurant was NOT terribly busy. Our apps came, never got small plates, even though we tried to ask 3-4 times (we were invisible.) Our meal came out, tried to get more napkins..... nothing. Finally, it took forever to have someone pass by to ask for our check. Food was great, but they need to work on their attention to the customers! Another waiter was talking to one table for 15-20 minutes, laughing away as another table of his waited to get their drink order taken. Unacceptable!

Normally I love this neighborhood spot and have had plenty of great experiences there. But tonight, I was served a pizza that was probably the worst food I’ve been served in a restaurant in 6+ months. It was undercooked, doughy, lightly topped. I would have rather made a frozen pizza at home than ever order this pie again. I’ll give Five Horses another chance, but I’ll never order the pizza again.

My friend and I really enjoyed Five Horses tavern. It was our first time there and we will be coming back in the future. The food was amazing. The chicken hot honey sliders chefs kiss, the sangria yummy

This is my go-to restaurant when my family comes to visit me in Boston. The food is always delicious, but the service fell a little short this time. The food runner was helpful and friendly, he brought over some extra condiments that we asked for so quickly. On the other hand, our waiter wasn't as friendly, maybe he just had a bad day. On the bright side, I've never experienced service like this at Five Horses before last night, so maybe it was just a one off — I hope to have a better service experience next time!

The menu (in person and on their website) shows which foods are friendly for, or can be modified for, dietary restrictions and was super easy to navigate. When I informed our waitress of my food allergies she was fantastic and took it seriously with the kitchen, ensuring they were not present in any part of the dish. Far and above one of the best dining experience I have had in a long time.

This is a nice, typical neighborhood tavern. Good for after-work or just hanging out with friends.
The place is clean and there's outdoor seating.
The food itself was good. I had the fish and chips. It was a nice sized serving. The drinks though, were just ok. I had the margarita flight and wasn't really impressed, hence the 3 stars. The service was good, but the staff would disappear for long periods. Not a terrible thing, gives you a chance to enjoy your company, but still felt long.
The atmosphere was good. Not too loud, friendly staff, comfortable
