Booked a reservation a few weeks ago. Was seated near the bathroom (where we heard the toilet seat slam over and over) and had people standing behind me while they waited in line for the bathroom. They should absolutely not have a table here. It was just a bad location. The food itself was decent- burger was good, fries were.. just fries. Similar to Mcdonalds fries. The waitress was very friendly, but didn't check on us throughout the meal (it was busy though.) The restaurant itself smelled like a bar with stale beer smell. Something that reminded me of going out in my early 20s. Overall, I can't say i'd return or suggest to others unfortunately.
We arrived early to find out I have made the reservation for the following week! They were very accommodating and found a table right away for our party of 8. They changed the channel on the TV to our preference too! We had the burgers, BLT, chicken salad, breakfast quesadilla, fish & chips, and steak and eggs. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. I especially loved my burger--excellent. The "dirty cheese" is awesome! ,
Food and drinks were fine but they found every possible way to up the price of the meal.
Fries costs extra on a burger, menu didn’t have the right prices, waiter upsells, they gave us things we didn’t order, plus hospital fee.
Five Horses Tavern has a great atmosphere, and even though we only stopped in for drinks, the experience was fantastic. The service was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We were lucky to get a window seat, which was hands down the best spot on a rainy night, perfect for sipping a drink and watching the world go by. Looking forward to coming back to try the food!

Food was good, however what we asked was not there. Cutlery was not clean.

Vibe was amazing but the bartenders ignored us for 10+ minutes and once acknowledged the cocktail we ordered was simply undrinkable and the beer tasted as if they hadn’t properly washed the glasses.

It is a warm cozy neighbourhood gastropub that we enjoyed being at! Was full - without being overcrowded- while we were there (6.45-8.30 on a Friday night). Noise level was busy and buzzy without being distracting. Would definitely go there again
Everything was delicious. I just love the kale Caesar salad. Thanks for having so many vegetarian options!
Delicious burgers and great service! Parking in the area is tough so if you're driving, plan some extra time to search for a spot!
Great way to celebrate both my girlfriend's and my birthday. Staff went out of the way to sing "Happy Birthday to You's" 😄

Had heard about this place from friends and was in Boston’s South End today, so we checked it out before a visit to Northeastern. Five Horses did not disappoint! If you’re there during Brunch, try the Huevos Rancheros and/or the O.D.B. - so yummy! The staff was also friendly and fast.

I keep thinking the food will get better because it is a good spot but after this last meal I'm giving up. How mac and cheese w pulled pork can be both bland and terrible I don't know but it was.
