Good to catch fun either as a family or group of other....coupled with the homemade varieties of pizza. The pizza thickness is thin though I like it thick with a crust of cheese. The bowling experience here is still lingering in my body...I really enjoyed the bowling...still feeling the pains at my upper leg...nice experience altogether...

Our visit was a disappointment. Me and 3 children were left hanging without any explanation of what went wrong. I believe the disorganization and non communication between the change of staff in between was be cause that our reservation was not honored. Kids were very disappointed (crying) in waiting for hours and then going home without the so expected entertainment. So good luck with your reservation.

Hosted a company get-together here and we had a great time. Cindy and the rest of the staff were wonderful and so helpful! Definitely would recommend this spot for groups of any size.

Was standing in line at roadrunner across the street, went to get a pizza for a friend which took nearly 30 minutes so I abandoned the pizza to get back in line, very nice cashier tracked me down three blocks in the line to hand deliver my pizza. Kindest thing anyone has ever done for me

Thanks to everyone who took thier time to serve us and make us feel comfortable today!! We will stop back in if we ever find ourselves in this area again. Yummm

This is a great spot for candlepin bowling (a Boston speciality). The atmosphere is great and the staff are really friendly. The pizza is nothing special but it hits the spot!

Good pizza, fun bowling. Don't think they oil the lanes often, but unless you are a pro I wouldn't worry about it.

Good, friendly service and tasty pizzas and salad. Nice place to come for a bite to eat and some candlepin bowling for a date or hangout in a laidback environment

I love their bar! It's really long, has a granite top, comfortable seating, and looks out over bowling lanes! They have a great selection of local craft beers, ciders, and a fun cocktail menu. When it's not too busy try the cocktail flight, it comes in a Candlepin Bowling pin, and you get to try 4 different cocktails. The flatbread pizza is always delicious, and if you want to give Candlepin Bowling a try, you can do that while you're there too! This type of bowling is very regional and only found in New England and the Canadian Maritimes.

Such a great place to hang and try candlepin bowling. Great for adults, teens, and kids. There are no bumpers on the lanes so unless you're superhuman, expect lots of gutterballs! The Buffalo Chicken pizza is also hands down the best.

My visit to American Flatbread Brighton was planned around enjoying their namesake flatbread and an hour of bowling. While the venue offers a potentially fun combination, the experience was ultimately a mixed bag heavily tilted towards disappointment due to lackluster food and a significant billing problem.

Let's start with the positive: the bowling itself was fun. It's a decent activity to pair with an evening out.

Unfortunately, the food, which should be a highlight given the restaurant's name and wood-fired oven, fell flat. Our flatbread was surprisingly flavorless. Seeing the wood-fired setup raised expectations for a smoky, crisp, and delicious crust, but the potential wasn't realized in the final product. Adding to the culinary letdown, the drinks we ordered were overly sweet.

Based on the food and drinks alone, I would have considered this a 3 or maybe 4-star experience – decent for the activity, but not for the dining. My recommendation at that point would have been to eat dinner elsewhere and come to American Flatbread afterwards solely for bowling, perhaps grabbing a simple beer or soda there.

However, the experience soured considerably after I left. Upon checking my bank statement, I discovered I had been charged more than the amount on the receipt I signed. The tip had been altered from the $10.08 I authorized (which was 20% calculated only on the food and drink portion, as I don't believe tipping is standard for the lane rental itself) to $18.

To the restaurant's credit, when I contacted them via email about the discrepancy, they did rectify the charge relatively quickly. However, their response notably lacked any admission of fault or explanation for how a signed tip amount could be changed post-authorization. This is more serious than a simple error, and the lack of accountability was concerning.

In conclusion: While American Flatbread Brighton offers enjoyable bowling, the core offering of flatbread was bland, and the drinks were too sweet. The significant issue with the unauthorized tip alteration, despite being corrected, overshadowed the entire visit and turned a mediocre experience into a very disappointing one. Proceed with caution, check your receipts and statements carefully, and perhaps stick to just the bowling.
