Favorite Italian in the city. Martine the bartender downstairs has been great to us and the food and drinks are always delicious.

Can't say enough positive comments. Food was fantastic, attentive staff, ambiance was amazing. I would highly recommend Florentine Cafe.

Excellent food and service. Highly recommend the eggplant and rigatoni bolognese. Every app is spectacular

Good old world Italian mobster hang out vibes. Dark, loud, energetic, and the food was beyond amazing. Service was fast. Make a reservation for sure.

We enjoyed the atmosphere, noisy but pleasant and the service was spot on. I like to order chicken Marsala as a way to compare Italian restaurants. The chicken was a pounded flat tasteless breast not a bone in breast or thigh. The sauce was flavorless, no Marsala wine was evident.

This was our second time to Florentine & The service was fabulous!! We were seated at a table at the end of the bar & people were standing up at our back of the chairs & we asked to move one table over & they were very accommodating & switched our table. Our server was pleasant & always smiling. Food was outstanding!! We will be back 🥰

How many reviews can I write about this 5-Star!?! Just eat here and enjoy every minute and morsel.

The food was phenomenal however our server was incredibly absent and not helpful. One person's food came out 10 minutes after the rest with no check in and no apology. We had to keep asking for water refills and during payment she kept checking to see how much each person tipped. Additionally - she never checked to see how the food was / if everything came out right. It was incredibly uncomfortable and disappointing especially since the reservation was for a special birthday.

While visiting our daughter for the night we ended up in the North End of Boston for dinner. The restaurant looked cute enough and we were seated at a window which was very nice except that it was also right next to the bar which became increasingly louder as we sat there(not enjoyable). I ordered the gnocchi, my daughter a fettuccine dish and my husband the short ribs. We all really loved the food! The wine was also excellent. Service could have been slightly better and I would prefer not to sit next to the bar next time.

We arrived early but they were able to accommodate us and we had a great table with the window open to outdoors. The weather was beautiful and we could see the parade for the feast celebrated that day. Great North End ambiance and people watching. The food was excellent- the caprese salad was fresh, and the bread and dipping oil amazing. We had the rigatoni bolognese and chicken Marsala- both were delicious. The service was also excellent. We loved it and will be back!

We had a wonderful meal at Florentine Cafe. We had the tuna and the lobster fra diavolo, both delicious. Our server, Monica, was the best! And you can't beat the charm of this restaurant. Highly recommend!

Awesome meal! Staff were very attentive and engaging. Wrote a message with the reservation asking for a window/sidewalk table if possible. Although it was busy, our window table was waiting for us! Large portions of beautiful pasta. We'll be back next time we visit Boston!

We ate there during Saint Anthony's feast loved having the windows open , able to see people walking and the parades while we were in the comfort of our seats eating delicious food that I gave five stars taste and the wine is the best.

Food was pretty good. We made reservations over a month ahead of time and we got stuck at a table by the servers station, there were other tables but they would not sit us there when we requested to move. Waitress was terrible, she barely spoke, she threw the bill on the table with no offer of dessert or coffee. She pretty much ruined the dinner. There are so many other restaurants in the area I will go to

Headed into Boston during Saint Anthony's feast this year and had a great Saturday afternoon meal at Café Florentine. Been going there for years and it never disappoints.
