Top of the morning, I fell victim to a micro aggression. We, two well dressed, overly polite and pleasantly dressed women ordered pastries to be warmed up and a beverage at the counter. After an extended wait despite the fact the line rush came after we placed our order, I approached the individual at approximately noon on Tuesday, Nov 18th wearing a grey Flour baseball cap turned backwards and blue T-shirt with red Flour logo on the front to ask about the status of the order we literally placed next o she/her/they. With no greeting at all they listened to my inquiry then told me to go get my foot items from the shelf behind me. I retrieved the order I thought was mine then I was approached by two staff members. I was startled thinking they might be thinking I stole something ad when questioned, I explained that I was instructed to do this by the staff member managing the food readiness screen. They definitely apologized that I'd been misinstructed and explained my order would be ready momentarily treating me with kindness and respect
The conclusion? The individual with the grey baseball cap saw my deeply melanated skin disregarded everything I articulately shared and stereotyped me as a food delivery person. SMH What an ignorant mindset. Giving the amount of money I've spent with Flour and even taken their goods to friends and family members in other states, I expected so much more from you. As a female minority owned business, I didn't realize that only benefited a subset of the customer base.
I don't let this ruin my day. This type of typecasting is prevalent. But I will vote differently with my wallet. You don't get the joy of my smile and my financial patronage I exchange for a sweet and sour experience. Our meal should've been on you.

The only thing I ask for is consistent coffee. Everyone there is lovely. But I really miss the old crew. Whoever is making the coffees on Tuesday and on needs better training. Like do they not read the instructions because what’s even the point in having that feature if the coffee is going to be made however they want to make it. Barely any ice. Like what a disappointment. My coffee today made me so mad lol that I’m taking the time right now to write this. Any other day is fine for the most part unless I order a large then thats when they get it right. Upping the prices but the service going down the drain make it make sense.
Remarkably good avocado toast. It tastes as good as it looks. Impressive quality and presentation and the coffee was excellent too!

My friend and I had breakfast here on Friday morning, and everything was delicious! We shared the avocado toast, a quiche, and a couple of macchiatos—each item was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was upbeat and welcoming, the space was clean, and the service was quick and friendly. I’d definitely come back again!

After ordering a sandwich online with a transaction going through, waiting and walking over to pick up after receiving a text "order is ready for pick up" I'm to find out that what I ordered is sold out, but an unfriendly staff member. Quite frustrating that their family online ordering system is unreliable and you might wait around only to find out that you are out of luck. I literally wasted 20 min and had no lunch as a result.
