Great lactose free ice cream than any other place in Boston. Feel should be much more options than chocolate oh yuck. There's 15 ice cream just example 12 out of 15 has some type of chocolate oh yuck. Yes safe to say not a fan of chocolate ice cream, fudge or chocolate chips. Pickings are very slim for me my friend. They do offer ice cream cake and if you want a particular topping go early there was 2 people there last year one I could remember was Harley forgot other. But they went to Somerville store and I'm literally by bus 12 minutes walking 30 minutes. I brought bananas ? yes and because I knew them personally mix that with vanilla ice cream. They was out of bananas and I asked if I bought some would they make it, oh their smoothies are to die for almost a must try. Run don't walk to Fomu. Please don't tell jp licks I said this but they need to follow their lead with more than just 1 possibile 2 ice cream lactose free. They are sickening with that yucky chocolate too. But Fomu hands down is the best ice cream place for me.

Staff is rude. I was charged more than double the price of what was posted. When I questioned why the price was not posted accurately, she gave an attitude. That is poor business practice. Don’t mislead your customer and then make them feel wrong for your false advertising.

The cookie do sundae is amazing!! I can’t believe this is all dairy free. My taste buds and stomach are happy. Worth every penny!

I've been here a few times before and I feel that it's changed quite a bit over the years. I remember they used to have a lot more pastries available, but today when I went there were only a few cookies. I don't know if it's because of Covid that things look different now, but I liked having the option of picking up some pastries in addition to ice cream. Today, my husband and I got the rockiest road and birthday cake ice cream in a cone. I thought the rockiest road was pretty good, but didn't like the birthday cake flavor too much. It had a yogurt taste and I'm not someone who likes yogurt. My husband thought it was ok and he likes yogurt. I wasn't a fan of their wafer cone either. It was kind of stale, I think it might have been one of those all natural cones so it's probably just the way it is. Being vegan, we've both had plenty of vegan ice cream over the years and we feel that FoMu's ice cream is ok - it isn't bad, but it's not amazing either. It's enough to satisfy an ice cream craving. This FoMu location is a few stores down from Grasshopper - an entirely vegan Asian restaurant so it's nice to stop in here for a cold treat after dinner or lunch. The store also has a fridge with several ice cream cake options and ice cream pints for sale. There is no parking lot, you'd have to look for street parking.

EVERYTHING here is vegan.. including the toppings and whipped cream. Ice cream is made using coconuts. I spent $13 on a small ice cream with whipped cream and two toppings. I think the ice creams are very underwhelming for the price. They should invest in a wider variety of flavors and toppings…. Also remodel the counter or post pictures so that customers can actually see what the ice cream looks like.

Hip vegan ice cream desserts.Good flavor. Would have liked the fruit to stand out s little more. It was good but a little too much like a blended and frozen pie. I still would go back. This location was playing death metal which isn't my fave.

Decent vegan ice cream that is made from coconut. Very rich. Flavors are a little over the top.

I was so excited to hear that this place was vegan! I am not vegan myself, but I always had a taste for vegan establishments. They had a variety of flavors and I would definitely come back to try the other flavors. The staff was super nice and patient.

My favorite vegan ice cream in the city. I always try their new flavors but my go to is the peanut butter and cookie. They have mostly coconut based ice cream with 1 or two other options. Their seven layer bar and ice cream cakes are also delicious!

Excellent vegan ice cream. Really creamy and no too sweet. They also have gluten free. I have celiac and all employees have always been very knowledgeable and mindful about cross contamination. If they don't have an additional container from the one that is in use they always let me know and I choose another flavor!

One of my favorite vegan ice cream places! They have the best variety of flavors to choose from. Every time I go here they always have something new and unique to try. I have never gotten something I don't like. Amazing dairy free option :)

This plant-based ice cream SLAPS. And I've never said that before. I got the cookie dough. It's just absolutely full of flavor: the base is a malted chocolate, the cookie dough is delish, the choco chips even add crunch. You can taste a hint of coconut milk, but it neatly blends with the malt flavor. Really good and I highly recommend.

Great local ice cream shop. Highly recommended for those in the area. Please try at least once and you won't regret.
