We went to Forcella for dinner on a cool evening. When we walked into the restaurant, the windows were open and it was very cold inside. We had asked if there was anything that could be done and the waitress said that it was really hot in there. Looking around we quickly noticed that most people were wearing their winter jackets still inside. We decided to stay at the restaurant after a little bit of deliberating, hoping that we would warm up. Throughout the evening, we noticed people being asked to sit further and further away from the open window, though even that wasn't helpful since the restaurant is so small. When it comes down to it, I think that the service should be more observant of their guests and realize that everyone was freezing and just because the two servers were warm, no one else was. We also had the strange experience of them, dropping off our bottle of wine and not coming back for about 10 minutes to open it. We had high hopes because we knew the food there was good, but overall being frozen and not able to take our jackets off made the experience not so great. I will not be going back again.
Cacio e Pepe, spaghetti and meatballs, pesto, and espresso martini were delicious. Requested chicken with the pasta dishes and it was served with a fried cutlet. Very tasty but quite heavy. Would love to see grilled protein options. Ambience is typical north end...quaint and a bit dark but could do without the “techno” sounding music. Made it difficult to have much conversation without raising our voices.
My favorite Italian restaurant in North end by far the food the service was just amazing. The food quality and flavor is second to none very intimate family friendly but also a great place to take out a date.
Forcella never disappoints! From the great ambiance to the incredible and informative staff and delicious food! Went here after work with some girlfriends and had such a great time. This is my favorite spot in the north end.
The best service ever! My mom flew in to visit me and wanted to get Italian food and so I made a reservation here @ 9:30pm because they had availability! I was worried that they were closed because on the website it said they closed at 9pm but they still were able to seat us! The bread and olive oil was divine and our entrees and drinks were DELICIOUS. Loved our server Sarah, and the other server Marcis, for being so kind and awesome. Can't wait to go back!
The quality and presentation of the food was top notch. We were incredibly impressed by the dining room layout and staff. If you are looking for a place to propose to your significant other… this is NOT the appropriate place. As I mentioned the food was the finest I’ve ever had; however, the music was terrible. We felt like we were in a 1990’s discotheque. The music was loud, very heavy beat and not remotely romantic. We did mention to our waitstaff and they attempted to get it turned down to no avail. No coffee or dessert available either. I understand space is limited; however you have two of the finest dessert businesses well within walking distance. Even if you only carry two desserts. I would still go back there for the food with the hopes of different music…even soft jazz would be acceptable.
STAY AWAY !!!!!
Food is horrible!
The manager of the place is just horrible.
There is no way this place deserves more than 1 star! Chicken parm tasted like cardboard!
Lasagna tasted like puke!
STAY AWAY!

I love coming here when I visit Boston. I always sit at the bar! The drinks are spectacular, the food is so good. The Duck, yes, the Ribeye, yes yes! Don't sleep on the Cesar! The bar team on Friday's so sweet, so kind and very hospitable! Will always come back. I always enjoy sitting and chatting with Carmen!

Lasagna is amazing as was the arugula salad. Licked the plates clean for both. Back patio is lovely. Has heaters for chilly evenings.
Vegetarian options: Many of the restaurants in the neighborhood do not have very many vegetarian options, this one had a lasagna which was vegetarian. Unusual in and of itself, and amazing.
Wheelchair accessibility: Sign in the alleyway notes that the alleyway is accessible for wheelchairs.

Food was great and reasonably priced but service was lousy. We were also told we had to leave for another reservation after only being seated for an hour and 40 minutes. We spent hundreds of dollars and I only had a few sips of wine left. Would have been great to not be asked to leave. Better places in the north end for sure.

Dinner at Forcella was an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Service was excellent. Everything we ordered was sublime — from the apps - octopus, burrata, meatballs to the main entrees including the swordfish special which was cooked to perfection - tender and moist, lasagna, and creamy pasta. My son, a Carbonara lover exclaimed that “this was the best Carbonara” he had ever had!
Looking forward to returning to try their other offerings and I have already recommended Forcella to my friends!
