The food tastes good, the bread is fresh. The food is overpriced, I paid $15 for a sandwich that was pretty small. I bought a loaf of banana bread which had mold on it (I found out after I got home and unwrapped it). Overall pretty disappointed with the experience.

I love getting bread from this place. This is the bakery that sends out bread to a lot of places in roslindale. You can get some really nice loaves that freeze nicely. Bring cash if you are planning to get something less than $15 to support the local business.

I started going here from a month and every week to buy sourdough bread. I placed pecan pie order for thanksgiving and got ready to make pizza dough, they were best. First of all of their breads are made perfect. They taste best when I make sandwiches. Olive and sourdough breads are best. I tried their pecan pie as well and loved it. It’s a different taste compared to other places. I prepared margarita pizza today from their prepared dough. It was far better than what we get in restaurants. Must try this place who likes fresh breads. Please keep up the same quality.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich (sausage and cheese on an English muffin) and when I got home I discovered it was a sausage EGG and cheese. I can't eat eggs so not only am I out the $10 I have no breakfast. And it's my Bday! I think it was a language issue as I tried to engage the young lady who took my order in conversation but it was obvious she didn't understand me. I love Fornax but I doubt I'll go back. On a bright note, my neighbor's dog loved the sandwich.

Local bakery in Roslindale, popular amongst the locals.
They serve regular breakfast and lunch too, but all the pastries and coffee are perfectly adequate.
Ham and cheese croissant was not at all traditional, so please don't expect a French style. It was kept in a warmer, but the dough tender and soft, and a stack of ham inside.
They also have quiche du hour, so always fun. Our quiche was delicious and well seasoned. You get to choose a side as well, and the farro salad was refreshing and delicious.

Very slow service by the time we got the food we've already done drinking our large coffees.
Sandwiches are made with old bread that is toasted on the stove, not fresh bread.
Small and disgusting sandwiches and ridiculously overpriced $15-16 for a sandwich.

Everytime I get my favorite iced oatmilk latte with caremel it comes out deliciously smooth! They do not miss and it does not matter who makes it. Always comes out great! Thank you for making my mornings much more enjoyable!

Love Fornax so much. Everything I’ve eaten has been fresh and tasty. My only complaint is they are slow. For example, I ordered a scone and cup of soup and still waited 10 mins to receive it. Other than wait time, everything about this place is top notch!

Great place! A must stop by if you are in the area and worth the drive if you are not. We had a chicken salad sandwich and a turkey bacon and Swiss and it was delicious. Bread is freshly made, crusty and soft, what a treat. The owner or the manager stopped by to ask how we are doing and if we need anything. Everyone is kind and welcoming. We also bought some bread to go and I’m looking forward to trying it out!

I was looking for a nearby lunch spot that could deliver relatively quick and came across Fornax Bread Company. I ordered their chipotle chicken sandwich and it was pretty good! You can choose the bread you want, and customize how you like it. The sauce on the sandwich was good, and the chicken was seasoned well. Overall it was a solid sandwich that did the job.

I've been coming to Fornax since I was a literal baby and it's always been great. The breakfast sandwiches and pastries are always solid. Now that my taste buds have ~matured~ I can say that their coffee is always fantastic and really sets Fornax apart. Even the drip coffee is great.
