This place doesn't disappoint. Food is phenomenal. Music choices were questionable but service is good. We'll be back for sure.

Popular spot to dine, drink, and socialize. Always happy when I am there. Not a good plan to look for parking unless you have time and sneakers or a South End permit.

The staff seemed disinterested and unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. Their lack of attention and professionalism was ill-mannered to say the least. It's difficult to even taste the food when the atmosphere leaves a bad taste in your mouth. If you're in the mood for disappointment, this is the place for you.

I danced in the streets all the way to The Franklin. I was so happy they were still there and I wasn't disappointed.

Personally, and for 3 other people, only the za’atar salmon was good and crunchy — ravioli was too garlicky, smoked beet salad was too smoky & doesn’t look appetizing, and the steak would have been good if not topped with blue cheese that tastes too rotten.

The lamb ragu at a random place at 12am on a labor day morning was excellent. They were welcoming ans accommodated a last minute group of 7 post concert goers. Drinks were great!

A wonderful place to get a very good dinner. The only thing was the settings of the air condition. Here I got the best Burger which I had in the US. If you're in town, take your time and go to this location.

This is the truth. Not a Bostonian... transplanted by my company in 96 and realized immediately how rascist it was. Left the state in 2000 to commute back daily but never one to attend social gathering... until this week.
Went with openly gay white friend to Franklins.
Hostess outside was immediately friendly and welcoming however our server inside decided to not look at me the entire night... no smile, NO eye contact for 2 hours and blatatantly ignored my hand up when i requested another round. Music wasnt loud enough for him to NOT hear me call his name as he cleaned the table behind us. My dinner partner had to yell over me to get service. The night was my treat and I was more than happy to give M a 40.00 tip. He confirmed many things within that 2 hours... It was money well spent to confirm and alert.

Love coming here, but their strict rule of tables for dining only, at 11pm on a weeknight, when the bar is full with no seats, and we wait over ten minutes to get a drink, was a drag.

I go to Franklin to eat at least once a month. I had excellent service last night from my female server. We had the schnitzel. It may have been freshly (but over) fried but my partner felt the pork cutlet had been sitting and reheated. I don't know the dish well enough to judge, but it was not lightly fried. It was tart a sweet and tasty and I was starved so I ate most of it. I love Franklin, but I miss some of the old dishes. Meatloaf, burger, steak and pasta are always good. Some thongs are less consistent. I would love to have the chicken livers back on the menu ( light batter fried with sherry glaze)

This place REALLY needs to be recognized (it truly is one of Boston's hidden gems! I had such a good time there and the bartender we had was simply delightful. She made the whole experience memorable. Amazing food, amazing service, good vibes all around.

Steak Frites cooked perfectly and extremely flavorful. Pork also cooked perfectly and really unique flavors combined with the dish, light, crispy, juicy. Relaxed vibe. Great bang for buck portions are big.
