Not sure why this place is rated so high. My only guess is because it’s cheap. Was excited to try this but maybe no one in Boston has had decent food before?

I thought the pizza tasted gross. It was very greasy and seemed low quality. Gas station pizza is better.

Gem...Wow This restaurant is one of the best pizza in Boston! It's on Hanover Street, Galleria Umbertos is a cash only. Eat in and take out lunch spot. They get long lines and are opened for lunch and close when the food has sold out for the day. No leftovers ever! The restaurant is owned by two brothers both natives of the North End. Hands down the best pizza in Boston! from the Pizza dough to the sauce you can taste the love and hard work put into this pizza l love it! They also sell pizza dough and pizza by the pan for take out...The interior is old school and outdated but it's authentic... The prices could not be more reasonable...If you like cheap, tasty, fresh authentic Italian food served in a warm environment in an old school, Mom and Pop restaurant with amazing prices, this place is for you! 100% recommend!

Humberto’s has the best spinach calzones this side of Italy—so yummy and the service is great.

It matches the hype. The Sicilian Pizza is…perfect. There’s not enough superlatives to do it justice and if there were, even then it wouldn’t reach hyperbole. Craziest thing of it all is the pricing. Four slices, arancini, and a drink for $16.00? How? In today’s economy how are they keeping the price this low? Also amazing. Just go. Don’t think about it, don’t pass go, don’t collect $200…go get your dang perfect slice.
OMG the Pizza is fantastica!!!! You'll love the arancini and pizzette too!!!! So good!!!!

One of the best arancini’s I’ve had and I’ve been all over Italy. Great group of people and even better food! Get one of everything.. you won’t regret it.

Galleria Umberto is a true Boston classic and one of those spots that does one thing—and does it perfectly. The Sicilian pizza is the star: thick, airy crust with a crispy edge, rich tomato sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. It’s simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The arancini and calzones are also worth trying, all made with that same homemade touch. The place is old-school and no-frills, with quick service and great prices. It’s the kind of lunch spot that reminds you why classics stay classics—straightforward, satisfying, and always worth the line.

Best lunch in the city. I been a customer for over 40 years and never once had a bad experience
We knew this place was gonna be good based off the very old sign and the old Italian guys arguing loudly inside. We showed up almost too late (they close very early, like 2:30pm) so we only had choices of what was left. We both got a rice ball and a slice of cheese pizza. They were fantastic after a very long day of walking. The pizza was especially good. It was also like $2 a slice, something you won’t find anywhere else on that street. If you’re hungry and have a little cash on you definitely skip the long lines at the other places and grab a pizza and soda here.

Busy atmosphere. Food was different than any Italian I’ve had. Get there at 11. They close when food runs out. When they sell out of any item, that’s it, there will be no more. When they sell their last slice, they close. Tremendous value for any part of the country but especially Boston.
