This is the place you want to come to in South Boston. The folks working here are so nice and the food is incredible. No frills, just delicious, classic diner staples (we got the Benedict and Southie -highly recommend both). We will be sure to come back whenever we’re in town.
I showed up here because Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil made it look irresistible—and let me tell you, he did NOT lie. The English Duchess on cornbread? Pure genius. A flavor party where everyone showed up. The diner vibe’s classic—counter stories, clinking dishes, and friendly banter. Authentic diner in South Boston. The entire team here work really well together. We came for breakfast and Galley Diner did not disappoint.
Bacon, egg & cheese. On sourdough. A must.
Grilled ham & cheese. Amazing.
