I showed up here because Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil made it look irresistible—and let me tell you, he did NOT lie. The English Duchess on cornbread? Pure genius. A flavor party where everyone showed up. The diner vibe’s classic—counter stories, clinking dishes, and friendly banter. I am by no means a BOSTON native, just travel here for work a few times a year, but this place is WIKID AHHHHSUM! The Southie omelet is 100% a must have. The sourdough toasted and slathered with buttahhhh is so phenomenal! Coffee was hot and fresh. The South American style sausage no one can pronounce was also on point!
Started going to the Galley in 1995 when Paul & Colleen first opened and was a loyal customer until we relocated to Florida from Southie in 2020. Glad Paul & Colleen’s daughters took it over and still run the place. I can’t wait for my next visit and breakfast at the Galley.
