The place is charming, with delicious food and excellent brunch options. The service is friendly, and the outdoor seating is great. I hope it reopens soon.

I love Maria I go because of her.
i had a group walking in and there were 3 hosts, they all stared at us like we came to serve them? so one of my friends asked do we just sit ourselves down and they said no. weird! please train your hosts to better customer service or just common sense! our waiter had no clue about anything we were asking, i mean nice kid but don’t lie to us just say you don’t know and you’ll find out for us. other than that, place was cute tho.
We were with 8 people and 7 of us did not finish our food. One of my colleague had the falafel and it was dry and tasteless. The gnocchi was overcooked. The lobster rolls and fries were not freshly made and didn't taste right.
Our waiter was young, inexperienced and unprofessional. I thought he was not polite towards us. One colleague was a vegan and asked if the Mediterranean platter was vegan and the waiter said yes. The waiter came with it and the platter had a red colored dip/spread served with it, next to the hummus spread. The waiter insisted it was vegan. He checked with someone at the bar, came back and said it was vegan. The rest of us told him to check with the kitchen, as we tried the dip and u can definitely taste the cheese!!! Maybe feta? After actually inquiring with the kitchen, the waiter came back and said yes it's not vegan, and did not even apologize!
How is it possible that this place got 4+ stars?!!!!
The only star I can give is to the bartender coz our cocktails were amazing!!

Good atmosphere, food was decent. Good location unless you're driving as it's in the heart of seaport.
Bartender Max and other staff were excellent and communicated with us throughout the night on a personal level, not just business conversation.

First experience of Boston set the bar HIGH. A beautiful day, a great view from the outside seating area, and the food was so, so incredible. You know the food is good when a party of 8 goes absolutely silent once they start eating! Pictured is the falafel naanwich, and it exceeded my expectations by FAR; and I definitely recommend upgrading to the truffle fries. Pricing is fair for the quality and portion; we struggled to finish everything! Our server Luke, though the restaurant was busy (lunch rush!), was well attentive and handled requests quickly, especially for such a large party. I can easily recommend Gather to anyone visiting the area.

The food was great and the waiter was very appropriate, nice and polite. It was a fun little dinner. Towards the end when we were paying for our bill last night 10/17/2023 around 8-830, the waiter had processed someone else's bill on my card rather than mine. The bill was about $10 less than my bill which wasn't a problem. People make mistakes. What threw me off was that there wasn't an alternative way to go about the mistake. I paid for a $140 meal mistakenly and then had to pay again, $155 right after because my bank had already processed both payments. What really concerned me is that the waiter didn't ask or allow me to sign the second transaction or let me to tip myself, he tipped himself for me so that was very concerning and didn't sit right with me. I asked him what about signature and tip? He said “oh I just processed 18% tip because I figured you guys wouldn't want to tip more than that because I messed up you payment the first time”. This made me uncomfortable because he took money from me without my consent and without my awareness of it. I felt robbed and like I didn't have a say in the money being taken from me considering tip wasn't included already and wasn't mandatory. I think Gather needs to be careful and aware of that type of things because waiters should not be tipping themselves with other people's money. I hope they talk with him about it and don't allow that again. Thanks
