HORRIBLE customer service at the Boston location. Not not bother with placing catering orders, the staff refuses to pick up the phone (I gave up after 10 attempts). Called yesterday to order two dozens cupcakes for a corporate shower event today through Uber Eats who confirmed that they placed the order but that Georgetown Cupcakes cancelled my order. No one bothered to call me to update me on the situation.MOST UNPROFESSIONAL. I will pass on the word to my colleague and will never order again, such a shame, delicious products, HORRIBLE customer service.

Food: Probably the best cupcakes available in Boston. I always appreciate a cupcake spot with a huge variety of staple and rotating flavors. Also love that they top off the cakes with just the right amount of frosting! My friend and I got boxes of 4 cupcakes for around $16. My favorite flavor had to be the seasonal cherry blossom. - Cherry Blossom- Vanilla- Toffee Crunch- Chocolate Caramel- Mint Chocolate- Key Lime- Red VelvetAmbiance/Service: Limited seating inside (just one communal style table with about 5 chairs). Super open and clean interior with a huge window and bright decor. Was very quiet inside and not too long of a wait. The cupcake display case is so pretty! Quick and kind service.

To start they are overpriced for what you get and there was a long line. Despite the line we decided to try it. The location is convenient, inside is nice, and the cupcakes looked delicious. As for the cupcakes themselves, the standard vanilla on vanilla was delicious. However, the chocolate peanut butter cupcake tasted horrible. The peanut butter tasted as if it was made with salted butter, and the chocolate had a burnt coffee taste to it. The purple unicorn (essentially vanilla with food coloring) tasted as if it was just cream cheese that sat out for a week as the “icing” was crunchy. The actual cupcakes were hard and lacked and sort of freshness. My wife ordered Gluten Free, and could barely get through one, as it was hard, crunchy and tasteless. The staff were cold, just pushed people along. That being said the gentleman boxing the cupcakes was amazing, super friendly and funny. For the amount we paid, we were highly disappointed. We expected so much better, especially with all the bakeries in the city. Would not recommend.

They usually have two flavors of vegan cupcakes , it's either carrot cupcakes or apple cinnamon. I got the apple cinnamon which was ok but pricey $$$ for the size. The To-go packaging was super cute.My friend got the chocolate ganache and one more cupcake that had eggs so I couldn't try them but he said they were so-so.I appreciate that staff wore gloves while picking up.the vegan cupcakes and packed it separately from the non vegan cupcakes. My friend who was their customer had restroom emergency but they refused saying the restroom was closed which was unfortunate.Won't be going again, it was ok for one time.

Located right on Newbury St. Georgetown Cupcakes is a popular cupcake chain. The inside is bright with tall spacious windows. A ton of natural light is able to shine through if the weather is nice that day. I really enjoy how transparent and easy it is to find their menu online. Right off the bat they list that month's special cupcakes! There's no waiting or guessing when festive treats will begin. They have a delicious assortment of cupcakes. We got the vanilla rainbow, the lucky chocolate chip, and the vanilla shamrock. The frosting on all 3 were so smooth. It looks dry at first but it retains it's moisture and softness! The cake is light but can be a bit too sweet if not consumed with milk or water (but who really drinks water with pastries, no judgement!)Packaging is really cute, it comes in a pink box. My only issues would be the worker who boxed our cupcakes just threw them in. So when we sat down to enjoy them, some frosting was smeared all over the box. Another issue would be the lack of seating. There's only one table and chair in the whole shop. Somebody who didn't even order yet sat down and took the spot so we ended up eating at the Pru. Regardless we'll definitely come back due to how delicious the cupcakes were.

Cupcakes are super good! They're unfortunately more than $4 just for a few bites and the wait was quite a bit. Worth it for a fun little splurge if you like cupcakes- I recommend the chocolate squared

I always enjoy a few treats from Georgetown Cupcakes when I am in Boston. The cupcakes are always fresh, delicious and beautiful. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Reminds me of their beginnings and how much I loved watching their show years ago.

Coconut cupcake (purchased near closing time) was dry like a brick and the frosting tasted like pure butter. Very unpleasant. Cake itself was flavorless. Nothing to compensate for the extremely dry texture. Charging $4+ per tiny cupcake of this inferior quality is theft. Plain and simple. Will not come back until they decide to charge reasonable prices.

Came here for pickup a few cupcakes for my niece since I was in town for lunch. The cupcakes never disappoints, it is as good as I remembered it when I worked on Newbury Street. Definitely try their cupcakes!

I think the cupcake is more of a cultural thing rather than a taste thing. My personal opinion is that it is just a lot of sugar and it lacks actual texture and depth of what a good cupcake/dessert should be but GT cupcake is heavily liked and attractive to many people, being an obese country, I'm not too surprised.Their espresso drink is low, very low, I could get better milk based espresso drink out of most machines I have seen. Now you all must be wondering why this is 3 star review. The reason is I have to be fair and judge the taste based on local perception of what is good.

dessert: got cupcakes for the first anniversary. their cupcakes are usually good but a little crumbly, not as soft and moist as I would prefer.??‍♀️would I revisit this place?: Yes, but not for a while.

Always a flavorful cupcake with tasty frosting and the perfect ratio too from here! Always a long line too. Overall, well staffed, tasty but expensive cupcakes, same as the other locations I've been to!

It has been years since we had Georgetown Cupcakes. The vanilla with pink frosting was so moist and fluffy. I loved the vanilla frosting. I didnt like the chocolate frosting, it was too rich for me but the chocolate cake was good.

The cupcakes are superb, they have a nice variety of them too. But we ordered hot chocolate to enjoy with our cupcakes and the milk had gone sour. Unfortunately it was far too busy in the store to go back and tell them…

I ordered cupcakes in advance for my son's birthday from Georgetown Cupcakes, which did not arrive on the delivery date --- and still have not arrived. I received a confirmation -- but no tracking info -- and my credit card was charged. The national shipping line just rings and rings after calling 3+ times at different times, all during business hours. The company is non-responsive on all social media. Despite how delicious these cupcakes might be, I would not recommend ordering with them. Not reliable, non-responsive and I am *still* trying to resolve this issues amongst doing everything else for my event.
