Gourmet Dumpling Home, not Gourmet Dumpling House. Gourmet Dumpling House is truly a home ? thank you Gourmet Dumpling House for serving the Boston community for so many years. The soup dumplings are incredible and the food comes out so quickly and fast. It’s been a honor to try your food! Thank you for everything Gourmet Dumpling House
Awesome food. Hot and delicious. Price is good. Good portions, nice staff. Try pork and crab dumplings are the best. Similar to Joes shanghai in NYC.Only thing is a small space and so crowded and they sit you in the same small table with People you dont know. No bad for me, but if you are having cautions with covid 19 or need some privacy when you talk with you friends, partners, etc when your eat your lunch, this is not the place. Certainly I will return.
Food was great. Prices good. Very tight and busy for seating. Sitting at tables with others just to accommodate all the people wanting to eat. Very efficient in serving and short wait time for food.
We came here because outside has lots of good clippings of how good it was but was disappointed. I feel it is over rated or maybe it use to be good. (We came in April 2022).The soup dumplings skin is very thick and the meat inside has no texture, more like a meat sauce inside but flavor is ok. The shanghai noodle and Taiwanese rice cake flavor was ok but was super greasy. The fried tofu appetizer was bland n the sauce that came with it is basically oyster sauce n garlic n too salty. The oyster pancake appetizer was like a oyster omelet in a sweet sauce which kinda didn't match together. At the end we couldn't finish the noodle n omelet and ask for togo boxes just to not waste food. Service was ok.
We came back here after two years and I would still recommend this place! We didn’t get the same items from before but loved the soup dumplings (xiao long bao)! They were steaming hot when it was served on the table and it was perfect. I couldn’t also resist getting the spicy chicken dish (F2). If you like spicy and savory, I would give that a try!
Still can't be beat for flavor. Steamed vegetable dumplings and scallion pancakes, even 20 mins before closing on a Wednesday night, are delicious and so satisfying. They took care of me, even after a long day's work for them...
I was in town for work with a coworker and we decided to try this place based on the reviews. What a smart choice we made. The place is not fancy on the inside but the food is AMAZING!!!! We had the hot and sour soup, dumplings with pork, cold noodles, and beef pancakes and I can't pick my favorite. A place like this makes me wish that I lived in a big town!!!!! I cant wait to go back!!!!!!!!!
Super fast service and amazing theming and food. Their bao buns and noodles are delicious and the service is very fast. 10/10
Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is crowded and hurried, but we knew that going in based on other reviews, and it was fine. The pork soup dumplings were amazing - my favorite thing we had. The pork and shrimp wontons were also outstanding. Sesame chicken was good and plentiful portion, as was veggie lo mein. The pork and leek buns were a little thick bun to filling ratio, but still tasty. Would absolutely return again.
Always filled with people (locals & tourists alike), rare to find a seat without waiting. So we took the chance to get lunch here. Lunch menu price is acceptable, not the cheapest, at $11.50 per dish plus white rice, no soup nor spring rolls.Dishes came out lightning fast despite a much filled restaurant, probably within 5 minutes of ordering. Authentic taste, not too oily, and the good balance of savory & sauce. Recommended. So staff have been there for years as I recognize them from my visit 7 years ago.Definitely a place worth visiting. Would recommend some kind of renovation as the restaurant probably looked the same during the past several decades.

The dumplings here were fantastic. We stopped in for lunch and shared an order of pork and crab soup dumplings and an order of pan fried pork and shrimp dumplings. Both were really good, but the broth from the soup dumplings was probably the best broth I’ve ever experienced. The place is pretty small and cramped, but the minor discomfort is well worth how good the food is. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
Overall this restaurant owner gives up quality over quantity IMO.1. Too many tables in limited space and you are expected to share table with others, or you are still too close to next table. And when you enter the restaurant, the sign says no mask no service.2. They never smiled and they worked like a robot with no emotion. And they worked really well when we almost finished our meal. They all of sudden showed up and started taking our dished away. Actually we were still eating. Just speechless. I could imagine how much they don't enjoy working there.3. While leaving I looked back and everyone just stood up but no one says anything but watching who is about to finish their meals..I mean I understand their busyness and life.... but also while writing this review, again I rememeber how unpleasant I was. Food was ok not great. There is a tiny meat inside dumplings with too-thick wrap. Egg drop soup and deep fried chicken were decent but pricy as to what you get.2 stars - decent foods, and poor service and much improvement needed for restaurantWon't come back.
I think we may have ordered the wrong items since only half our food was amazing, while the other half was rather bland in taste. I would definitely give this place another shot though.
Left out 2 sodas. Chechen dish (chicken three) had so many tiny bones it was so unpleasant. Fried rice with vegetables has virtually no veggies. Oh, and no taste. The dumplings were good Very disappointing given the great reviews online.
This was my favourite meal in Boston - really authentic Dim Sum lunch in a bustling and popular restaurant. It reminded me of some of the local Dim Sum places in Hong Kong. The food was perfectly prepared, portions were generous and generally the whole experience was great. Friendly staff too.
