Went there for jazz brunch on a Saturday - surprisingly the restaurant wasn’t busy. The band playing that day (Yoron Israel) was incredible and the atmosphere was really nice and cozy! The brunch food was delicious. Would totally recommend!!
The service was great! Our servers didn’t forget about us, and were helpful and served us kindly. For the food, I highly recommend the creole pasta, it was great! The empanadas were inconsistently cooked and somewhat dry. The crab cakes were underwhelming. The live music on Saturday night was a good genre that was fitting for a fun and romantic ambience. So I went for the first time recently and I had an amazing time. This place is arguably the best Black Restaurant and Best Restaurant period in Boston. The location and interior of the place are so luxurious and the food I got which were the Oxtail & Grits, and Cast Iron Mac & Cheese were so flavorful, and the drinks I got were the Miami Beach and Black Gold were some of the most creatively tasteful alcoholic drinks I’ve ever had.
