Tasty options, affordable, pleasant staff, friendly atmosphere... what else do you want?
I do wish they displayed prices, but I guess at these prices, just get what you want, knowing you won't break the bank.

Greenhills is a neighborhood treasure. I'm a weekly regular for their bagel sandwiches and muffins (especially the double chocolate muffins, which are phenomenal).

The new digital kiosks have significantly helped with order accuracy and they're a nice upgrade.

I do wish they had onion (or garlic) bagels more often!

Pro tip: unlike most such places, their bagel sandwiches are NOT cut in half unless you ask for it. So be sure to ask! I'm hoping they make it a standard option on the kiosks to speed things up.

Everything was excellent. Great service and food. Especially liked the scones, breakfast bread and sweet rolls.

The absolute best old-school Bakery in all of Massachusetts. They don't skimp on quality ingredients, they don't overcharge, hard working family, friendly / efficient crew at the counter. You won't be disappointed.

A taste of Ireland in Dorchester! I have driven by Greenhills Irish Bakery many times, but never had the chance to visit. I made the time to go, and it was a wonderful experience. All of the employees were friendly and helpful, and there was a large selection to choose from. I got a croissant with spinach and feta, a cranberry scone, and a coffee. Everything was delicious. The next time I go back, I will definitely get the Irish breakfast sandwich. Slainte!

What a great Irish bakery in the heart of Adams Village, Dorchester.
The food is tremendous and the staff is awesome.
I am always a sucker for their Irish Beef Stew and can never get enough. The bakery items are tasty and fresh.
Highly recommend.

Greenhills Bakery made the most beautiful and delicious cake for my husband’s promotional ceremony. Everything about the cake/service was outstanding. We truly appreciate it and highly recommend.

The food is delicious and affordable, and the staff are kind and friendly. This is the type of place where you can sit and people watch or chat with other patrons. I went during a busy lunch period and due to limited seating, ended up sharing a table with two older gentlemen, who are regulars - it's such a nice and uncommon experience to share a meal with strangers. It feels like a small slice of Ireland in Dorchester.

I grew up in Dorchester so I have been a customer for more years that I can count even after I moved away. It’s been awhile but I was in the area and asked for a chocolate chip cookie for my husband and I asked how much a small and a large sausage sandwich would be to decide what made more sense. The cashier explained it would be double for a large lol. Since she didn’t give me the price and explained a large wasn’t available anyway as they only had small rolls I asked for one with nothing but the sausage and some butter and brown sauce. The price for a cookie and that roll was $10.89. I don’t mean to sound cheap but for one cold sausage with what didn’t seem like butter on a small little bulkie and a cookie was not what I would consider to be nominal but so be it. I just think prices should be posted as not to wonder and have sticker shock. With that said, I absolutely love the cakes and sweets anytime I have been in before and love the breads. This is a gem. Just be more transparent in prices.

Popped in with family after 29yrs away from
Dorchester thinking it’d be a nice place to catch up with lovely Irish cakes. However, I was throughly disgusted with the service & atmosphere to point we left and went elsewhere. My brother queued up to be served but was ignored and when a local came to the counter they were served first. After the way he’d been treated, I knew this wasn’t the place for us. Apparently if they don’t know you or your accent doesn’t sound right, you’re treated differently
to be clear I’m Irish and brought up in Dorchester i just don’t speak with a local accent anymore.
Wouldn’t recommend this place as it seems they have all the customers they need or want.
