Absolutely the perfect spot for a date night! The atmosphere is low-lit and intimate, service is amazing, and the food superb. The spaghetti and meatballs arrived piping hot and I was able to take leftovers to last me two more days. Forget the North End…perfect Italian lives in Beacon Hill!
What an awesome throwback Italian spot away from the North End. Understated from the outside, inside it is old school charming and cozy. The only thing is it is very tight, so that may not be for anyone
The meatballs and marinara were delicious - that sauce should be bottled - and the chicken parm was very unique - the chicken was tender, the melted mozz was creamy and the "sauce" was somewhere between a soup and a sauce. The gnocchi was also a hit....

A hidden gem in Boston! Unassuming and easy to miss, Grotto offers an incredible, authentic Italian menu, warm and attentive service (Meg is amazing!), and a comfortable and easygoing atmosphere. We can’t wait to return!
