Tasteless, Soggy Mess I ordered a pita with tzatziki sauce. Chose some tomatoes and cucumber, then lamb. No sooner had I unwrapped the foil, the gyro began to leak and the pita became a sodden mess. The lamb had no flavor. The zucchini "fritters" tasted like sawdust. Back to Mamacita's.

I have lunch here EVERY WEEK, and I could see myself doing so until the end of time. The food here is fresh, hot, and delicious. My go-to is a spicy chicken plate so I cannot speak from experience on the other options, but if they are anything like what I get (THEY ARE), whatever you order from here will be exceptional. The employees are friendly, and if you get lunch on a weekday, there are always seats available. The portions here are perfect, too (that means a lot from a college student ?). I'm always full after a good lunch here.

An unexpected but absolutely delicious gyro spot. If you are out on Newbury, this is a great location for something quick and casual. I HIGHLY recommend the halloumi gyro. I was hesitant at first because I love my lamb gyros, but this was a game changer.
