Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Allston

AYCE hotpot is pretty decent. The sliced meat is pretty good, but some of the marinated meats tasted strange. Decent amount of options you can select at the buffet, but definitely got full faster than normal here. Overall, decent food, good service, but probably wouldn't go twice.

While their soups aren’t the best, they always have a solid selection of food. I usually go with the VIP option as there is mor variety of meats available. However, their classic option is also a solid choice given their veggies, seafood, and fish ball options.

EDIT: They improved their tomato soup! ❤️ There is a menu update as well but not much was changed.

I use to come to the place because of soup broth, the quality of the meat went down hell , and it’s overpriced , I recommend Spring Shabu-Shabu they have more variety when it comes to vegetables and see food , also it took soo longe for the soup to heat up

went with a group of friends for dinner and we got food poisoning. staffs were polite, one of them were really sassy and passive aggressive to us though.

Amazing food and service. They changed a bit with new management or owner but food is amazing.
On thing I wish remained the same would be the cleanliness in the bathroom. The previous owner took better care of the bathroom
And it’s not as kid friendly as I hoped. They used offer a booster seat or high chair when they see families with a small child. But I’ve been hear several times after the switch and they don’t pay that kind of attention to detail.
But again, food is amazing, they maintained the same quality or better.

Happy Lamb is a favorite of ours. Always so tasty, and great soups. Brought my parents here this time and they enjoyed learning how to eat it too! Definitely a place to be a regular

Pretty long wait, but the staff were good at moving efficiently. I believe only AYCE is offered, but it’s worth it for the meat and food selection. Sauce bar and the rest of the food that was out stayed clean and stocked, so no complaints there. Also the jelly dessert bar is so hype and is enough to sway me to come back to Allston location over Central/Chinatown.

The service we received was exceptional; our waitress was not only friendly but also instrumental in helping us navigate the menu, offering valuable suggestions for sides and meats. I particularly appreciated her prompt resolution of a mix-up with my friend's order. However, there were a few areas for improvement: the tables felt somewhat cramped for our group, and the strong aromas from the broth could benefit from enhanced ventilation. I
