Visited Boston Public Market as soon as they opened yesterday and immediately purchased a cheddar and onion scone from Hearth & Hug! All their pastries looked delicious but I wanted something savory and my scone was very tasty! ☺️

The butter croissant is the best I’ve ever had, period. The ham and cheese croissant, blueberry muffins, and scones are also some of my favorites. You can’t go wrong with anything here and I’m always surprised the line isn’t around the corner every time I show up! Do yourself a favor and check it out!

I was helped by Natalie, the owner, and she was truly delightful. She took the time to answer all my questions about the pastries and we chatted about the bakery itself as well. Here's what I bought:
Canele: a small French pastry that was semi-caramelized on the outside and soft custard/cake interior. Insanely delicious. Dream cookie: chocolate, marshmallows, cornflakes. Some caramelized lace had baked around the edge and OMG just so so good. M&M cookie: as an M&M cookie lover, this is the best one I've ever had. The M&Ms are throughout the dough almost at like a 50-50 ratio. Exterior was crispy, interior was soft and chocolatey. I need 100 more.

In a word- resplendent! The ham & cheese croissant is perfection! Light, buttery, soft yet crispy croissant with ham & cheese inside. The top is sprinkled with an everything bagel spice. I’m out of words, it’s perfect!

Hearth & Hug is a MUST anytime I’m in the city. The entire team is small but mighty and incredibly helpful and nice! Every pastry and bread is simply heavenly. 100/10 must go!!!! The freshness in every item is next to none and you can tell each item is made with the love like no other.

got the canelé and sea salt pretzel. their canelé was absolute perfection with the crunchy first bite and the delightfully soft inside. the pretzel was yummy as well, with such depth to the pretzel flavor. can’t wait to try everything else they have!

We had some issues with the type of payment I was using and they kept calm and continuously communicated with me in a friendly manner! Top notch service, thank you! I got a brownie and whoopie pie and they were both delicious.

Would give more stars if I could! We are still talking about the ham and cheese croissant over 24 hours later. The combination of the flakiness of the outer layer of the croissant with the density of the inside layers almost brought me to tears! A must-visit bakery.
