The reservation process was a little clunky via OpenTable. I called to reserve first and then was told a confirmation email would be headed my way from OpenTable. I checked my inbox (spam and junk included), but never received anything—except an email from OT asking if I wanted to cancel because I hadn't confirmed. It's a glitch, but one that could've pushed us to find another reservation elsewhere. Something to look out for. Great experience overall.

The food was great but service was spotty. One person in our party waited a solid 20-30 mins after the rest of us got our food to receive hers. She got 50% off of her dish but that didn't really seem sufficient because essentially we didn't even have our meal "together". Furthermore, the service was not proactive about telling us about the delay, we had to check in repeatedly on the status of her meal and they kind of avoided us. Too bad as the venue is quite cool and the food was unique.

Food was fantastic! We didn't realize that during booking not only would we not be able to see the artists, but unless you are downstairs, you won't be able to hear them either. Something I'd make sure to check going forward.

I would avoid this place! It's one of those places that have gotten popular because of TikTok or Instagram, but I'm telling you the food is actually disgusting, we ended up leaving at our appetizer round because of how bad the food was

Excellent night out before the ballet! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with lots of character. The food was cooked to perfection with a great blend of spices. We all enjoyed our meals and shared several plates. Highly recommend!

The only issue we had was we were sat next to another party despite an empty basement. Other than that, the wine selection is great. It is intentional and the impression i got was that they know good wines. The food was delicious (although spicy). Believe the server, if they say the food is spicy! It is great!!

Very cool vibe to Hobgoblin. Interesting cocktail choices and a nice touch with having some cocktails with a "fortune" that goes along with them. The cocktails were good, the food was also very good and would recommend trying to get a table downstairs since that is where the piano player is. Though the upstairs is quite nice as well.
