usually have a lovely time at hunters but went for a dinner special and the service took 2.5 hours to be served the main course which was short rib and half of the meat on top was fatty. next time will be sticking to the classics
We reserved a table and when we got there, we were told our table was still taken by the guests before us. After 10 minutes we were asked if we would sit at the bar seating by the window. It was absolutely freezing, which also impacted the temperature of our food.
Food and decor were awesome! Much smaller than I expected and really loud. Perfect for small groups. Bar fun too!
Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. The seating was decent considering my party ended up being bigger than expected. The drinks were also yummy. Definitely plan to visit again
Usually service is excellent but with a new waitress it was by far the worst experience ever
Fantastic food and service. Best brunch, with the whole family, we've had in a long time. We'll be back soon!
It was all amazing (except closing at 10pm on Christmas Eve)! Food was great, service was also great. Highly recommended
Food was great, service was great, very loud. If I was 10 years younger this would've been my spot.
The food was good, but we were seated at a terrible table, where the bar patrons, were literally leaning on our table. It was so loud we couldn't talk to each other. We went there for the “live” music, only to find out it was a DJ.
Great atmosphere, food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend especially at Christmas time

I’m so bummed about this place. I’ve eaten here several times on Uber Eats. Food is good. Seasoned. Blonde Waitress was so sweet. We came in for seated service and the decor and atmosphere was cute. Wood cabin chic. Here are my issues:
-The biscuits aren’t traditional southern style biscuits, they’re like small cheese rolls, doughy not crumbly like a traditional biscuit. They were very well done almost burnt on the bottom.
-The cornbread was corn soufflé or baked corn or corn pudding (goes by various names) if you will. Corn dish with whole cornel corn in it very soft, this is not cornbread which is denser.
-Not the warmest welcome by the bartender when we walked in. My dining partner said they felt unwelcome.
-There was a mouse no one on staff was alarmed about! Apparently he comes in and they claim it’s just him and they can’t “catch him”. When I sounded my alarm I was offered to move or take the order to go. Apparently the mouse lives there the paying guests are the inconvenience.
- We ordered the gumbo and friend chicken dinner to go. Not sure how they are yet……
**Back with the food update: really good mashed potatoes…..that is all. Thickly crusted dry chicken and very peppery kfc gravy. Chicken gave batch made on the weekend and reheated as needed vibes.

Hunters knows what they’re doing and they do it well. The food is excellent and the menu, while some may say it’s a bit limited in quantity, the quality is superb. Me and my son Gene love to get the mac and cheese. The atmosphere is also a major selling point. It’s so unique and interesting in there. It is small, though, and fitting my whole family of 5 in there is a bit of a challenge some times, but me and my friend Ginger go every once in a while just us two ladies and it’s just perfect. Noise is usually low and they often have live music. If it’s busy with live music, though, the small space can start to become overwhelmed and make it difficult yo hear others at the same table. If you’re planning on bringing kids, I’d recommend trying to go at a less busy time. Parking is a challenge so get a ride if you can! Regardless, love coming here every time!
