We really enjoyed our first dinning experience at Isabella's. Always a good sign when a restaurant is busy on a cold Monday night in February. We dined here before a hockey game at the Garden. Were were a party of four and fortunately seated by the window at the front of the restaurant. We had meatballs and calamari and all ordered variant dishes of veal, all were spot on. The service staff is hospitable and attentive. The restaurant ambience is cozy and intimate and not noisy when full. I really enjoy authentic Italian restaurants like Isabella's that are off of Hanover Street and not touristy. We really enjoyed our evening at Isabella's and will return to taste more of the menu.

We arrived on a frigid evening. The host suggested a table away from drafts from the front door, very considerate! We enjoyed a simple burrata and some delicious warm bread before our entrees were served. The meals were presented beautifully and tasted even better than they looked. Overall one of our best North End dinners.

Two couples had an early dinner at Isabella's before a Celtics game. The restaurant was completely empty when we first arrived perhaps due to the cold temperature outside - but, our waiter settled us in with a warm welcome. He was very helpful and solicitous about menu selections, particularly in relation to one person with a gluten sensitivity. In addition, I could not decide between the home made gnocchi or the eggplant and the kitchen kindly prepared a dish with both for me! Other members of our party ate risotto with scallops and veal scallopini. Everything was delicious- including the pre-meal lemon drop cocktails and bread. Although our plates were empty we did manage to share one piece of tiramisu which, in keeping with the rest of the quality of the food, was outstanding. Thank you to our waiter and kitchen chefs for a wonderful meal and experience! We can't wait to return to Isabella's!

A fantastic meal. The restaurant is quite small but the food is worth it. Have any dish with their homemade pasta and you can't go wrong. Have recommended it to many people already and will be back myself.

Everything was perfect! We arrived for our reservation very early however they will able to accommodate us. My friend has a garlic allergy, and they told her she could order anything off the menu as everything is made to order. I got the filet mignon special, and it was spectacular! You could cut it with a fork! My friend had the scallops and loved them. The espresso martini was delicious and the complimentary shot of limoncello was a nice surprise.

Not good food. Boston is supposed to be authentic italian and the first thing server said is pretty much all pastas are NOT homemade.

Always amazing!!! We always look forward to celebrating our special occasions with the amazing staff. Food is so good with good portions...we have tried over half the menu and it hasn't disappointed yet.

I should have left after finding hair stuck in between my bread but I brushed it off cause its one of the only few places with gnocchi pesto. The gnocchi was so disappointing. It looked like they rolled a whole lined of dough and chopped it up so they weren't individually rolled. They also tasted like just water and flour dumplings thrown into pesto sauce. The staff didnt seem like they wanted be there. They didnt check on me and I waited a while to get my check. The place itself is cute but thats about it.

We had an excellent meal by enjoying delicious meatballs with a rich marinara sauce, tasty chicken with delicate veggies and mashed potatoes as well as a lovely porcini mushroom ravioli dish. Great service, wonderful portions, large portions and a very good value. Also the lemon drop martini, chianti and lemoncello complimented our meal. I would highly recommend dining here.

The food was delicious the service was terrible. There was only one other guest in the whole restaurant, aside from our group, so it was not because they were busy. 1) never offered a second glass of wine 2) never offered dessert 3) we asked for a meal split in the kitchen and waitress seemed to feel this was a very unreasonable request, and really looked like she brought back less food after she finally took it back to split. (But I'm not sure) 4) at end of our meal (which was not late since we didn't have option for more drinks and dessert and other table was still there) they sprayed some very strong chemical cleaning agents so the whole place smelled. A think a subtle hint to leave. Thank you to the chef for great food though! Maybe you'll have a better experience and the waitress just had an off night.

Super small and tight space. Not a real great ambiance at all. Food was good. Not awesome but it was fine.

Had a great date night! This spot is off the main drag and has great Italian food. I almost always order veal parmigiana when I eat italian food. This was the most tender and best one I’ve ever had.

Food was great , server was good , price was good . Place is very small so tables are 6” apart and there is no privacy. We had finished dinner and paid the bill . We then put our coats on and were getting ready to leave when the people at the table next to us asked about local places . We were telling them where to go and the manager came over and basically asked us to leave because he needed the table . The time between paying the bill and when he asks us to leave was about 8 mins . Our total time at the restaurant was 1 hr and 15 mins for dinner on a Friday night . We fully understand the need to turn tables in a busy restaurant but the manager would have had to have his eyes closed to not see and understand we were already leaving . Totally unacceptable!
