Had a ride fare off of lyft who was from trinidad suggest this place as being better than flames have to say i was majorly disappointed their rice was absolutely terrible it tasted horriboe, i had to absolutely drown it in the curry broth to make it remotely edible at all, the curry chicken the curry itself was bomb but they use chicken scraps to make it

This place use to be a great place I was in this place the other day this guy was waiting to order some food nobody said nothing to him he ask the lady what kind of soup you have she said chicken foot soup he said I will take a large the guy leaves she starts to bad mouth the guy he spending his money there you should be like you ready to order she always have a very nasty attitude looking like a mean siamese cat i had to apologize to the guy outside he said he won't be going back I won't be going back myself

First time walking in here to order curry chicken, white rice and veggies. They were out of veggies. So I was going to settle just for the curry and white rice, then I noticed the ox tail, so I changed my mind to white rice and ox tail, she states we ran out of white rice. Mind you it's only 2PM on a Thursday. So she tried to serve me kidney beans with rice and stew, I told her it's okay, just give me the coco bread beef patty, she goes "no meal?"....in my head I'm like a meal is actually something I want to spend my money on, not what you want me to spend on because this restaurant lacked services bad. While they are talking in the back, laughing a storm, customer, just waiting. And no food being prepped and cooked on time. Reason why Restaurants, in Dorchester, Roxbury, Roslindale and Mattapan don't prosper. Lack of customer service and laziness. And my beef patty was dry and steal because they microwaved. And my dumplin hard and had to trash it too. They just be leaving it sitting there. $3 for two small dry dumplings. Spoke to my Jamaican chef, he said best place to eat, that I should've called him first is, Blue Mountain. I'm trying them next.

Overall good place. But the dinner I got tonight was not to my liking. I asked for white rice they gave me rice and beans, then on top of that the vegetables were dried up and nasty. This isn't the first time either, plus my fish didn't have any sauce on it at all and was oily. I guess sometimes the cooks and food change.

I have been going to this establishment since it opened it's doors. The food quality has really decreased, food is very over cooked. Deserts horrible, presentation is horrible and it is over priced. I recently bought j*** chicken and ackee and saltfish. Both were less than desirable in taste, presentation and cost. If management is reading the reviews I know you guys can do way better.

I've been going to the establishment for a while but tonight my food was trash. I got a medium curry chicken and they gave me three pieces of chicken and it was one leg cut up and the other one was a chicken back. I hate chicken back! And on top of that the j*** chicken was cold. Who serves cold j*** chicken? I'm not trashing the place. The food is really good but my mail was not totally disappointed tonight. Beware when going to this establishment
