Charming old school beer hall. Sadly, it was damaged in 2018 due to a fire upstairs, and never re-opened. As of early 2019, the building appears to be for sale, so it looks like the closure may end up being permanent. :-(

German Grill was really good...one of the best brats I've ever had! Paired with the Jack's Dark (or two ðŸ˜) was a good meal. German potato salad was a bit lacking...not much more than boiled, partially mashed potatoes. Cabbage and kraut were tasty. Quick walk from my hotel (~5 minutes) and was the best option outside of Chinatown. Suum Cuique indeed, but I'm good with Jacob Wirth"s!

Fantastic restaurant. Always a good meal and superb service. Meal was out less than 15 minutes after ordering. Fantastic place for a quick bite and beer before a show. Beer selection is huge. The environment and culture of this place is one-of-a-kind.

One of the best restaurants in Boston. If you want great food and drinks here is the place. They do great pretzels. Those pretzels are a must when you go here. The fish and chips I got here was phenomenal. Fresh and well cooked. If you are visiting Boston you have to go and check out Jacob Wirth.

Brilliant time with Mel, the piano man... Piano bar sing-alongs with bad lighting, a piano that's in need of tuning, [DON'T TOUCH IT], and a million year old bar... A truly sweet taste of back in the day... Great food, so fast it'll make your head spin. Cheers, enjoy yourself immensely!!!

This is not authentic German food, but it is good hearty food and the beer list can't be beat. This is one of the few places you can get damn good pretzels and beer in a nice beer hall setting. Staff are really cool and helpful. This is all made better by the awesome sing along songs on weekends which creates an awesome atmosphere and community. Truly an enjoyable experience from beginning to end.
