Server David amazing 👏 great job always was on top of everything evry little detail , the food absolutely 💯 % amazing great flavor , even for the chef and chef Luis stop by and my family and I thanked him for our delicious food . This review 10 out of 10
Naomi was extraordinary in her service, kindness, and attention to patrons. Naomi accommodated our every request and even when our party misspoke (ordering the wrong item) Naomi fixed it without batting an eye. We were sat with a last minute reservation with absolute ease while other restaurants around town turned us down in a snobby manner. If you're looking for amazing atmosphere, quality dining, and exceptional service — GO TO JOE'S. Ask for Naomi!
I really wanted to love this place, but my experience at Joe's on Newbury was very disappointing. It took a long time for our server, Wells, to greet us, and when my friend and I sent back our margaritas because they were terrible, he seemed annoyed. I ordered the crab cake Benedict, which was good until I found a hair on my plate. When I told the server, he looked irritated, took the plate, and walked away without an apology or offer to fix it. I still had more than half of my food left, and nothing was done to address it. When the check came, he asked how everything was, completely ignoring what had happened. Between the poor service and lack of professionalism, I won't be returning.
This used to be a great restaurant, but not anymore sadly. Service was poor and I had to wait to be seated even though I made a reservation. Host kept on saying that your table is getting cleaned for 20 mins. And would keep on seating other people that arrived after me. So never going there again.
The food was good. The hostess was rude. The waiter was extremely busy and the bar was slow. The noise level was, at times, ridiculous, but then a party left and it returned to what you would expect. This at 4pm on a Saturday.
We had a fantastic dinner. I had the lobster and my wife had the garlic shrimp pasta with sun dried tomatoes. Both were excellent. Service and wine were great also. I was pleasantly surprised at the check when we were done too. Heartily recommend!
We met my sister and niece at Joe's on Newbury Street. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was great. All in all, a very good experience.
Staff was so friendly, very much a we are all family vibe! There were so many regulars in too that the staff was chatting up and it was very endearing. They are also great with allergies too, and the food was great. For sure will be back!
with a Sunday reservation for 12:30, was expecting a bit less freneticism than encountered...it was mobbed....
A decent dining option on Newbury Street. Having picked two standards - clam chowder and lobster roll - I expected (much) better. Lobster wasn't very tasty, bun was ordinary, and fries were mediocre, all for $36. The clam chowder was ok, although a bit crunchy/sandy. Sangria wasn't great at all, wished I had ordered a beer. Service was just fine, with a friendly smile, but not super attentive: no one even poured a second glass of water, my main dish was dumped on the table when I was halfway the chowder, and I was asked how it was "so far" when I was pretty much done, with no comment when I suggested it was "just alright". That was indeed how it was... wouldn't return. No one noticed when I left, no goodbyes even at the door.

This is the place to eat when you are on Newbury Street. The calamari is maybe the best I've ever had. Their version of meatloaf is fantastic. Service was great as well.

Not only was the atmosphere lovely and historic, but the food was delightful! I followed the recommendations made by the incredibly kind and helpful waitress Tori; she really went above and beyond.
My partner and I look forward to returning next time we’re in Boston!

Had a lovely anniversary dinner and an unexpected celebratory dessert! Couldn't reconnect the lobster roll or crab dip more. And if you're lucky you'll be in Tori's section! She was phenomenal. Will definitely return when we go back to Boston.
