Joia has a great atmosphere and great food! It is located near Boston Harbor islands, North End, and Faneuil Hall so it is situated at a great location. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant!

Quaint atmosphere with relatively attentive staff. Beautiful decor throughout with speakeasy vibes. Adequate privacy and seating to enjoy conversation. And delicious appetizers and meals that are worth the price. Best octopus I have ever tasted! Great location for a celebratory and fancy night out.

Let me start by saying the food here mediocre at best. We got the Eggplant Involtini, la Romana salad, margarita pizza, and the sirloin steak tips. Eggplant wasn’t bad but it tasted like leather. La romana salad the dressing was so bland and the croutons were stale. Like how do you serve stale croutons like that. Margarita pizza the tomato sauce was watery and floating on the top with no flavor. The sirloin was just awful, rubbery, bland and just topped with bbq sauce For $38 that was a joke.
The only good thing about this place was the service. Shout out to Daniella just did amazing job checking on us and she offered a panna cotta on the house and it was good. Unfortunately, this restaurant, like many others in Boston, appears to prioritize the sale of booze over the quality of the food. It was a big let down because we were excited to try it but never again.

There were fruit flies flying all over the food we had to swat them to make sure they didn't land. There was a mouse that ran across the floor after we were done eating. If it had ran out earlier we would have left

Although we made a reservation, we went in early figuring that we would have a drink at the bar. They were able to seat us immediately which was great since we were tired from traveling. I'm usually not fond of restaurants attached to hotels as the food is often rather uneven. That was not the case! Everything at Joia was delicious - fresh and well prepared. Our server was attentive and made appropriate recommendations. I thought it was a bit on the expensive side, but everything in Boston seems to be.
