Joseph's Sub Shop & Pizza

It's a small hole in the wall little sub shop with delicious pizza. We were in the area for a medical appointment and while waiting we decided to get a quick lunch. One of the women in the office recommended Joseph's. Take cash because they charge a bit more for using a card. We ordered a large cheese pizza and took it back to Children's to eat. It was very good. The sub shop itself is set up more as a grab and go with a couple of seats. They had the usual sub items. I would order from there again if we are in the area.

I get my veteran healthcare at the VA hospital up the avenue in Jamaica Plain and after every visit, before my walk back to Brookline Village, I call ahead to Joseph's to order chicken parm subs. That's all I've ever ordered, because they are SO good I don't wanna try anything else. Very lovely service. This is a take-out place only, so there is no atmosphere to critique. There are many choices in my neighborhood for chicken parm, but I ONLY get ours from Joseph's. Been doing it for three years now. Always deeeeelish. And quite reasonably priced. Plus, they always seem happy to receive my business, so I leave smiling.

Wonderful food for a good price. I love the vibe of the place - its very charming and small. There was just one person working when I came, which added to the small feel. The pizza in particular was quite good; I definitely will come back.

The place you want to go after bar and clubs…. It saved me several times ?. Open until very late…. One of the few places in Boston where you can get food at late nite. You can also order on the phone. This is a real icon in Boston … I hope it will last forever.

I helped a friend move o the neighborhood this summer and since then this has been our go-to spot! Great empanadas and good pizza! Its a classic college-kid friendly kind of spot.

I ordered a large cheese and large fries on the phone she tells me 25 dollars when I get there she says 34 and starts to give me a attitude so I add more money come back to pay the price changed again ... Nice sub shop. I like it a lot. The pizza is great! The atmosphere is enhanced by the 4 little swiveling stools that look out on South Huntington Ave if you eat in.

Pizza and food overall was decent, however the lady at the front was one of the rudest food service workers I’ve ever interacted with.

I came in late night being extremely polite and respectful. I simply asked a question about the types of empanadas they offer since the menu was very vague. She yelled at me and told me “that wasn’t her job.” This followed with persistent rudeness the entire interaction. On top of that, they automatically add a tip to your bill as well.

Sketchy and rude business. Let’s support somewhere that treats their customers with respect.
