This is one of my favorite spots. Been visiting them since they were in J.P. Great family & great food.
Good spot
The don't open the store on time. I have a time limit on my lunch break I can't be waiting a extra 15-20 minutes when I'm the first one there when they open...
Best roti ever I wish I lived in Boston , once I visit I have to make sure it’s a Saturday . Lunch at JP roti shop .
I love the sweet bread as I am from Barbados. And my husband has fallen in love with Rotis
Food is great and the staff are polite. The portions seem small, and there is a long wait.
There has to be a more efficient way to operate. Waiting 2 hours for a takeout order for already prepped and prepared food is beyond ludicrous. I placed an order in store (delivered in white bags) and saw others placed behind me (white bags) that after some shuffling behind the counter were delivered before mine. Brown bags are phone orders placed ahead of time that still received an hour wait for the already prepared food. The competitor (Ali's Roti) takes a tenth of the time with way more contents inside the roti for slightly less qyality in taste. Ali's has the same same set up but wins hands down in effociency as customers are never there longer than 20 minutes even with a line outisde the first door. My bag was shuffled down at JPs when their neighbor nicely informed me that her relationship of being their neighbor allowed her food to get placed a head of mine. Realy unprofessional! This kind of annoyed me more is she felt the need to share her entitlement and priviledge as a white women in this black establishment to a black woman. Needless to say she may have wanted to keep that entitlement and priviledge to herself as her ability to jump the line and voast about it, especially during Black History Month, made me say I may have to cancel JP roti shop until they can do better or show better. My money matters as I make an attempt to support more black owned businesses but the business has to be willing to show its community that feeling of appreciation for their support. Unfortunately, JP roti lacks in their appreciation to the community and efficiency in service. So for me, they are canceled for now and I absolutely say to save your valuable time (unless you have at least two hours to stand and wait around) and go visit one of the two Ali's Roti location instead.
I am done with this place. Every time I visit Boston, I’d look forward to snagging a shrimp roti with pumpkin, but this is the final straw: The system is a total wreck, If you call ahead and you take a while to pick it up, they will sell your food, and if they run out of something they will just give you what they want you to have. I don’t care how good the roti is, I’m big on integrity and I will never pardon bad business. Godspeed.
My favorite thing about Codman Square! The roti is delicious, all the cooks are so friendly, the music is great, Wu is everybody's favorite guy, service is fast, and the spice cake is in my top ten desserts ever. On top of all that, the veggie roti and doubles are vegan!
Taste of home and good vibes just naturally good people

Bomb.com Baby....Roti!!!!
I haven’t had a roti in a while. Heard about this place on Tik Tok. I never travel this side of Dorchester, too much traffic. However I did make my way over here because if the Tik Tok ad. It’s a small hole in the wall joint. You order on one side, pay for n receive your food on the other side. Everything is freshly made right in front of you. The roti is just right, perfect texture n flavor. I only get the bone in chicken n potato. They have so many other options, you can get it however you want. They not the $3.50 roti we got back in the day….inflation!! It will set u back bout $12, $13 maybe more if you adding shrimp. It’s definitely worth the trip. I think they are only open on the weekend. Check the hours before u go.
Need a construction crew in there.
I only get the chicken (bone in or boneless) roti here with everything on it. It's has never missed. Sometimes, there is wait. But worth it.

Forget the food, I don’t know why they decided to make a public mockery of my name due to their lack of intelligence. It’s literally 3 letters. Anyone with common sense and a touch of education should not have trouble atleast attempting to pronounce my name. Instead, this woman bleached out pale as a ghost decided it was ok to chant my name incorrectly as if it was a funny game. Never returning here again.
