My go-to spot for all my sushi and poke bowl cravings. I’ve tried a lot of poke around the area, mostly through delivery, and this is the spot that I keep going back to. Great tasting food and

I’ve only had one takeout order from this spot, but I already love it. I got a poke bowl, and it was loaded with generous amounts of ingredients.

came here on a sunday evening with some friends. the restaurant seemed very empty and the workers greeted us with a bright smile when we walked in. i don't know why this place is empty! their sushi was fantastic. so fresh and delicious. i love salmon and theirs melted in my mouth with every bite. just delicious. miso soup was great too, perfect for cold weather. yummy takoyaki as well. will come here again.

We love this place! Their prices are great and always good quality. We have tried many sushi restaurants and this is becoming a favorite! Our personal favorites are the Crazy Maki and California rolls. Give it a try!!!

Worst miso soup and salmon roll of my life. I need to preface this by saying I've never experienced truly bad sushi, which is why I gave this place 3 stars rather than 1. It didn't make me sick, it wasn't repulsive, but it just was not good. I had never tried the place before so I decided to play it plain and safe -- miso soup and salmon roll. Super basic. I don't know how one messed up miso soup but it was just so watery and barely tasted of anything! And the salmon roll was just also so bland. In a location such as Allston where there's so many options for Asian cuisines, I'd skip on this place.

Formerly New Sushi, Kyoaji sits at the corner of Brighton Ave and Chester Street with red awnings. I ordered takeout poke bowls on a weekday for dinner and service was fairly quick. The pickup was quick and the layout of the restaurant is the same with a few small tables if you're dining in. They have QR codes to order from their menu at each table. I created my own poke bowl and got tuna, shrimp tempura with avocado, seaweed salad, corn, edamame with yazu sauce and sesame seeds. They don't have a surcharge for avocado and the bowls are reasonably priced for the amount of food given. At first glance, it doesn't seem like much protein and just a lot of sides, but it's definitely a filling poke bowl. The shrimp tempura was still crispy and there was a lot of sauce in my bowl. If you order from their website there's 3 different offers 10% off your first purchase, $3 off $20 or more, or 15% of $65 or more. They're still using old New Sushi bowls, but they have their Kyoaji stickers on the top of the containers. They also have ramen, sushi (sushiritos), and appetizers on their menu. Overall, a good place to grab a bite to eat in Allston.

Got a sushi burrito. Thought it was very mid. Ate about 2/3 of it and by that point I just didn't want to eat anymore of it. Not bad, but probably best to try something else.

Beautifully presented and very very tasty maki, chirashi, and poke bowl! They have a very large selection and the portions were also good. We devoured all of it so quickly!Even though I got takeout, the presentation is picture perfect, so I’m sure it would be even more beautiful dining in.Highly recommend trying this sushi place. I’m excited to come back!
