Service was awesome. The Lobster Ravioli, which people rave about in posts, was also delicious. The regular pastas, not so much.Tomato based sauces, much too sweet and just lacking flavor. The house fresh pasta costs more and is just not good tasting or texture. We took most of the food home with us, I don't know why ...Try to doctor it up to be edible?Kid-friendliness: It's kid friendly alright!!! There were two kids watching movies annoyingly loud on iPads at the table next to us!

Not so bad, but nothing extraordinary. They portions are very big. Moreover, they were not able to assist me when I asked for an outlet to charge my phone. There are definitely better restaurants in the Italian district.

Hate to do this but somehas changed with this place..Food was terrible..waitress/waiters didn't know how to pronounce my dish off the menu.(gnocchi).I'm sorry ,but being in the middle of little italy in north end of boston I expect something more authentic and better overall experience..food was luke warm to say the lest and the vodka sauce was yellow as like a cheese sauce not pink as a true vodka sauce is..sorry to kill thplace on bad review but I have 2 be honest...

This is a really good restaurant. First, the service was AMAZING. As soon as we sat they put down bread, water and oil. The food was good. My pasta option was either penne or linguine but for some reason I got ziti. The vodka cranberry was very strong which I appreciate. Overall nice place. They also had gluten free options.Kid-friendliness: Good Kids menu

I would like to give this place another try, in all honesty. It seemed like it could be a great place and the building is very nice, but our experience was just not everything we had hoped. The wait for a walk in was an hour and a half, which I understand, especially due to the popularity of the restaurant. The area is full of things to see so I didn't mind the wait so much. Once we were finally seated, I was surprised that the dining room extended to the second floor. When I had originally put my name on the list, I assumed the upstairs was a back room for the staff because of the steep and dark stairway. Once we entered the upstairs dining area, I found it to be well decorated and inviting. The service was fine, the person filling our water glasses came so often that they never got passed half full but our actual server only came around 4 times total and while their website says that they validate parking for the Haymarket garage, I was unclear whom to get it validated by and our server took our payment so quick that I wasn't able to catch her to ask. The timing of our food was surprising as well. We were seated and our order was taken within 5 minutes. Our water and a basket of bread followed with another 5. From there, it took 35 minutes for our food to arrive at our table. I had the highest hopes for the food, however I was very disappointed by what we were served. I had ordered the lasagna special which was a cheese lasagna that evening and over which they offered to cover with bolognese. I was surprised that on a Friday night the "special" would be a cheese filled lasagna but decided to give it a try as I figured there must be something unique about it. I'm not sure what I expected, as it came as advertised, but I was underwhelmed. It was only filled with what I assume was a ricotta blend but which tasted of nothing but ricotta. No favor of herbs or an assortment of cheeses. The bolognese was good, but since it was only put over the top, there wasn't much of it. The food was warm, not hot, and to one side of my lasagna there was a pool of water and oil. Since the sauce was so thick and rich, I'm not quite sure where it came from, though I did wonder if perhaps the lasagna had been frozen and microwaved, leaving behind a pool of the frost. I can't say for sure though and my wife enjoyed her meal, especially since the pasta she ordered didn't come with cheese. It can be hard to find an Italian place that doesn't include cheese on everything. Because of the positives, I really want to come back some day and try other options on the menu as I believe it's possible this place is better than our experience made me believe.

My first time eating in the North End and we choose La Familia Giorgio's. The bolognase was excellent as was the veal Marsala. Portions were plenty and we have yummy leftovers. The waitress Skyler was awesome and took time with us, we did not feel rushed. We will be back.

My family and I came to Boston for the marathon that my sister is running in. She has Celiac so has to eat gluten free and this place was perfect for her! There are well over 100 options of gluten free foods and all of them that we ate were fabulous. Maria was our server and she was super informative and excellent at her craft. The portions were large and priced well. We will definitely be returning on our next visit!
