La Parada Dominican Kitchen

Was looking for a Dominican place that has the same taste as Tony topicos. This is the next best thing I’ve found so far!

I like the cleanliness of this establishment. I feel comfortable having a meal there. Their food is well cooked and delicious. I only have one (1) complaint. When I ask for sweet plantains, I do not expect to have to throw them away because they have been fried, but clearly they taste old. I do not want old sweet plantains, especially if you need to raise your prices. I understand and have no problem with the increase, but if you keep serving old plantains and that deters me from grabbing my meals from there. To have to throw them away messes up my meal.

Honestly their food is wonderful and plentiful. Absolutely worth it!

In my opinion, foods not quite as good as celias or la candela in New Bedford and its more expensive, but this is one of the few places you can use your foodstamps to get a hotmeal thanks to this restaurant taking part in the restaurant meal program(RMP). So it's great for big families and people with disabilities to eat a decent meal.
Edit: to be fair, the pastelitos are better than the ones at celias and are cheaper, so going and buying a bunch of 1 dollar pastelitos is a good use of your money, even la candela charges 1.25 for their pastelitos, so even if i think the chicken pastelito at la candela is slightly better, it being 25% cheaper here means this is currently my favorite place to get pastelitos in the massachusetts state area.

This is a cute restaurant in a good location on a main street. Pleasant interiors with vibrant colors and beautiful pictures on the walls.

Lively background music in Spanish, pleasant and not too loud. Comfortable seating, clean restroom.

Fresh and tasty food in good size portions, also vegetarian options, and the chicken was not greasy (like in some other Latino restaurants).

Friendly and hospitable atmosphere, very good service, fair prices, recommended !

Overall Decent Food but slightly on the pricy side given the portions. Plate size could be better for $10+ but quality did not lack..(No hard rice. Steak was cooked on point and flavored well. Plantains were Mid though.

We are visiting from Georgia, These Dominican ladies (staff) are super Sweet, the Food taste Delicious. It was a great choice . Empanadas were amazing !! Thank you so much Jonatan for the great service …. We definitely coming back in our next trip soon.
