Excellent quality of Italian products
So, we have a six year old that was incredibly hungry. Went up to the pasta bar which touted itself as quick. The joke was on us. We asked if we could get gnocchi with red sauce. The person at the counter scoffed and said "The only thing with red sauce is this" and slammed her finger on the spaghetti. For being "made to order" it's pretty amazing that you cant actually make an order. They had 3 people in the "kitchen" yet somehow it took over 15 minutes for us to receive our food. We got AT MOST six ounces of spaghetti tossed haphazardly with the sauce and covered with a basil leaf. Absolutely disastrous service, but at least the sauce tasted ok. Avoid the pasta bar, and for the owner whoever was at that station cashiering at 4pm on September 3rd, please do even the most remedial training for this employee... otherwise I would let them go swiftly.
Very rude staff. Great food.

Cheesy pasta but tasteless. I requested to add some shrimp but the shrimp is too cold, lol. Way too overpriced too! Not recommended at all đ„Č

Visit Sunday. We went to La Pizza and Pasta. Food was only ok. Clear step down from New York. We ordered bolognese and carbonara and the sauce was insufficient, carbonara was a tad too salty. Service was spotty.

I never write reviews, but I hope this saves another family from wasting their evening (and hundreds of dollars) like we did.
We had a 6:45pm Saturday reservation with our 3 kids. First red flag: they were already out of meatballs â a key part of the kids' spaghetti and meatballs. At 6:45. On a Saturday. At an Italian restaurant. How does that even happen?
We ordered the kids' spaghetti anyway because they were starving â only to be served completely undercooked pasta. When your hungry 3-year-old says âwhy is this so hard?â and refuses to eat it, thatâs how bad it was.
We told our server. No apology. Instead, they took the dish away (why?). It then took 35 minutes to bring out a replacement. Repeated inquiries were met with âthere are a lot of tickets,â as if correcting a kitchen mistake shouldnât take priority. Meanwhile, the rest of our food came out â which we waited on because our kids still hadnât eaten.
We asked for a manager. Her response? âWe hard boil spaghetti and undercook it on purpose.â What?! Even if true (doubtful), why undercook pasta on the kids menu? Are toddlers clamoring for al dente?
In total, we spent $250 on a mediocre meal with awful service. No apology, no real ownership â just a comped $12 plate of spaghetti. Not worth it.
Skip this place. Go to Terra or one of the many other Italian spots in Boston that know how to cook pasta and treat guests with respect.

đ€·đ»ââïžNot worth it. I would take the money you have and go buy the takeout food from the other counters within Eagerly.
We ordered calamari as appetizer, the lobster roll, pesto linguine and Bolognese. The $30 roll saw a stale hotdog roll with disappointing amount of lobster and the rocket they served on the side was old (I've tasted better from Market Basket); the Bolognese didn't taste like anything you can't get from other pasta chains; pesto linguine had good flavors but nothing to write home about. The only redeeming dish was the calamari.

Far, far overpriced for both the quality and quantity of food. That pretty much sums up the several times I have been there.

La Piazza at Eataly is a great spot you can just grab a drink and some light bites or more - no reservation needed! We loved stopping by for a glass of wine and some olives on a Saturday afternoon. Lovely friendly service!

Way overpriced, very small portions. Bread was $5 (not disclosed when it was offered to us). Ended up paying $38 including tip for half the bread and a small plate of very salty ravioli without a drink. The pasta itself was good and tasted fresh but nowhere near worth it.
Vibes aren't great, felt a little like a cafeteria, loud and tables packed together but a nice big skylight. Service was okay, friendly enough but not attentive. They seemed understaffed.
Donât go there, just donât. Our pasta and salmon and especially gnocchi were tasteless. Portions average and below average with far too elevated price for this food. It wasnât bad, but plain, tasteless and pricey. Go buy pizza at the takeout counter it would be hundred times better
We bought some cheese few days ago. They gave us it in two packages , both reporting expiration dates April 17. Yesterday it was March 28 and we opened the two packages. One of them showed some signs of mold, the other one was 40% mold covered. Because they are within expiration date ( another 16 days untill âexpiration dateâ) we returned them to the store. We discovered they are not refundable due to their policy as the two packages had been unwrapped. Of course, you cannot see the mold if you do not unwrap them as they are wrapped in paper that doesnât allow to see through it. They tried even to say that their fridges are better than customersâ fridges (even though we have best Whirpool branded and well functioning fridge). It is worth saying that whatever grocery stores usually make changes or refund when this happens. What is then the meaning of this review?
It is simple, as they do not refund . Because their common packaging in the store may help produce the mold we found , their packaging doesnât fit the expiration dates they report.
So, in the future, we will have to buy very small amounts of our preferred cheese. You may even consider the idea of eating such cheese when you are still in the store if average customersâ fridges are not reliable (which is laughable of course ).
We are trashing ours and it is sad because they were not cheap. Unfortunately, due to such âpolicyâ of the store, our money was sent on a one way trip . Good to know !
(If their expiration dates are not guaranteed by their packaging they may either report earlier expirations or consult experts to improve their packaging materials and procedures )
Extremely overpriced for charged $8 for a bottle of water that costs $3 in any other store. Had to request for the same thing multiple times from different waiters and it still took almost 20 minutes. Would not recommend.
Food was very underwhelming and overpriced. Presentation was also sad, service was very basic. For the price I know I could have had a much better experience and meal elsewhere.
