Dined here on June 22nd evening with my friend. Spent $170 totoal for a seafood platter, two course and two drinks for the two of us. The price isn't amazing but at least the taste is good, but the view is great, right?

Turns out I had the WORST FOOD POISONING here. We told the waitress the oyster and the clam were bad and she did absolutely nothing.

Then starting from day 3, the 24th, I have been having multiple episodes of DIARRHEA and mild FEVER for more than a week. I had to take a mixture of antibiotics, probiotics, and diosmectite every day to mitigate the pain.

Why am I certain it was the oysters? Turns out my friend also had episodes of DIARRHEA on day 5. After taking multiple lab tests, it turns out Campylobacter were found (see screen shot) and a public health analyst also told us this bateria could be spreading. So lucky both my friend and I live alone at the moment.

If you had these overpiced oysters at Legal Seafood Copley square on June 22nd, 2025 and suffered from food poisoning, feel free to reach out to me and we should sue them.

Shame on you Legal Seafood! There are plenty of other seafood choices near copley sqaure, DO NOT go here.

The ad on lobster tail was a little overcooked and did not come de-shelf you had to rip it out the shell yourself. Kale salad was amazing. We had eight diners and total, the send you accommodated the reservation and had pretty consistent service. Would definitely recommend for a large group.

Hadn’t been there in 39 years
Dinner last night, cup of chowder so so, not much flavor, had a lobster, dry and an old nasty taste (hard shell)
Down hill from what it used to be

Amazing gluten free options. Had several rounds of fresh oysters that were fantastic. All of their fried food is gluten free.

This is the first restaurant review I have ever posted, but there were so many issues that I felt compelled to share. Do not eat here!
Arrived at 8:30. Slow service overall. The clam chowder tased decent but was full of so many potatoes and little clam. Entrees - I had the lobster and it was fine. But my daughter got fish and chips. The fish had a burnt, strong flavor and look. Clearly the fryer oil was overdue for a change. We requested another meal and was told the kitchen had closed and there was nothing they could bring. Just shared that they would deduct it. It was slightly after 9:00. We would have appreciated them offering something, even a salad, so she wasn’t left feeling hungry. (We also had to go find waitstaff to notify them of the issue because we didn’t see the server for some time; also waited at length for the bill to come and again for the card to be taken/run). While waiting we saw two mice run across the dining room. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Poor food quality and service are one thing, but seeing rodents at your meal are another. Needless to say, they ended up comping the bill.

I had a great experience here. I got the Jonah Crab Roll, and it was excellent. I come to Legal Sea Foods often whenever I'm in the area, and I've never had a bad experience. I also want to give extra appreciation to a certain waiter. I don’t have his name, but he’s an older gentleman with an extremely welcoming personality who genuinely cares about the guests.

This was not the experience we were hoping to have. I have been to Boston several times for company business meetings had lunch or dinner at Legal Copley location. This time I invited my family of 27 excited love ones! How embarrassing it was to be there. The waiter bunched our group in a long bench with one additional table of 6 in the back area . I asked for more space, Our group was told that we could make it work!! The waiter said that he would asked the manager, our experience there went downhill .There were four other unused tables in this area that would have nicely helped accommodated us. The manager pulled chairs from those tables and added to them to our already crowded table space. Manage was making rude comments to waiter at the register near the restrooms about our group. Bad service!! Bad service . This is shameful! This review should not be Ignore , she the manager should be removed from your company. I’ll asked our business coordinator to not book us for any meetings, lunches or dinners at any of Legal seafood restaurants if this is not properly handled. My family did leave Customary Gratuities for the staff .

I experienced a sense of disrespect during my recent visit. We requested two separate orders, yet both were served on the same plate, accompanied by an additional plate for division. I believe it is inappropriate for me to be required to separate the food myself. Initially, when placing our order, the staff member affirmed our request; however, she later returned to inform us that they would fulfill our order but that it was against their policy. Had she indicated this limitation upfront, I would have considered an alternative choice. Furthermore, when I inquired about my tenant discount, the staff member's expression conveyed disapproval, which left me with a negative impression and reluctance to return.

Our waiter Nathalie didn't let us order sides.

I ordered Seared Tuna. It wasn't Seared. I did inform the Server to tell the Chef to increase heat on the Grill. Very disappointed.

Sat us at a 4 chair spot. 2 tables put together. Our table was wobbly and the table beside it was 1/2 inch taller. Ordered drinks they came in good time. Oysters were good. Ordered the bang bang cauliflower, we have had it before. Must be a high crime area , got 4 pieces . Somebody must have stole some on the way to our table. Cup of chowder was good. Bake haddock came , fish was good. Broccoli was hard , was it supposed to be cooked? Waited for our waiter to come and ask us for more drinks . We waited and waited and waited. Finally got our drinks when our dinner was done. i would have liked the drinks during eating. Partner looked for waited for check , we waited , and waited , and waited. Got check , waited , waited , waited to pay . Finally put together cash , got up found the waiter handed him the check and said we are good. Usually go to the legal at seaport , but it booked for a week out. I will not be going back here

Our waiter was friendly. Greeting was not at all friendly upon arriving. Restaurant is very dark. Good was average at best. Soup was barely warm. Won't go back.
