Table was ready and waiting when we arrived. I had a delicious atlantic char with whipped potatoes and Szechuan chili green beans, with lemon sorbet and coffee for dessert. My companion ordered the lobster roll with chips. We both enjoyed our meals. Skip the dirty soda - the price doesn't justify what it is. Server was attentive and knew the menu and the market rates well.
My food came out cold and nothing was done. When we told our server he didn't say anything and bought out more sides. My steak was cold as well but if I waited for another meal , my date would ha e been done. Nothing was taken off.
It was a good experience. The food was great. Great service. A little noisy. The lights could have been dimmed a bit.
Outstanding food the seafood was exceptional The wait staff was great and very accommodating
When we lived in Boston we often dined at Legal and enjoyed the food and service. We had not been back since we moved 10 years ago. It was nice to see that nothing had changed. The food was fabulous, especially the chowder and lobster rolls, and the service was excellent.
We tried both lunch and dinner at Legal as it was close to our hotel. Both the food and service were disappointing.
Great service and food. Very attentive to our needs. Manager stopped by to check on us at the end of our meal and we had a nice conversation with him. Great place and happy we made reservations as it gets very busy.
Great location. Excellent wait person. Solid food. Venue is a bit worn and noise level is high. Would go again.
Worst experience here ever. Party of 6, 5:00 reservation with birthday. Lobster rolls, $45 were cold and buns were a gummy mess. Whole belly clam consisting of 9 clams total and cold potatoes.. service and management were never seen. Clam chowder and drinks were the only enjoyable part of this meal. Drinks were never refilled.. Birthday was acknowledged upon arrival but not again.. Celebrated later ..
The food was excellent and the service was superb. The atmosphere is plain contemporary but fine.

Been here before and it did not live up to the memory. Food didn't taste as fresh. Felt more commercial. Drinks were good.
5 of us ordered the lobster steamed, they said it was good not great. They are from las vegas and wanted a great lobster. I don't eat seafood so I got the steak tip they were terrible tough couldn't even chew it, I though oh maybe that was a tough one but every one was worse. I had potatoes and onion strings for dinner. The bathrooms were so dirty. I had to tell a waitress there was no toilet paper. Here I was trying to impress to my out of town friends that Boston seafood is great. I was so disappointed 😩😩😩
Treated as a number, not friendly staff. Nobody answers phone. Food average at best, typical of airport food vs. off site? Was looking forwardto starter 3 weeks in Europe. Disappointed.
I have been eating at Legal Seafood for 50 years, and have always enjoyed it. But candidly this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have had, First, I tried to change my reservation to a later time, as I could only get a 4:30 reservation on Open Table. I tried calling the restaurant during business hours a few times and nobody picked up. Because I really wanted my friend who was visiting Boston for the first time to have this great experience, I planned the entire day around this reservation. We were seated adjacent to a large table of 3-5 year olds. Their mothers sat at an adjacent table yelling to their children and allowing the children to constantly wander around our table. They were playing on electronic devices, crying etc. as the mom's drank wine and enjoyed themselves. Our food was terrible. The fish and chips were way overcooked and my fried clams were soggy. I was so embarrassed that I hyped up this restaurant to my friend and planned our day around it. Our server was good, and commented how those children were probably annoying us. They were but nobody did anything about it. It was a total disappointment, and I will likely never return. Since Legal Seafood is no longer in my area, I can't imagine wasting my time during the next trip to Boston.
Great location, good food. $150 for 2 lobster rolls and a cup of chowder and an iced tea is very high. Lots of places to get the same thing for a lot less.
