Excellent service and tons of GF options to choose from. Food was good but for the price I would have expected it to be better.
Our family had Easter Sunday lunch at Libertine and were very pleased. The food was excellent and the server was very friendly and so attentive. We will go back for sure!
Everything was really good, the food, location, and ambiance. The service was lacking, not attentive.
Sought out for a special birthday date, looking for a gluten free scallop risotto. Delighted to find Libertine, which is highly rated by a large number of diners, and a menu philosophy of serving great food while accommodating dietary restrictions. It is extremely rare to find a restaurant that can make any of its dishes gluten free (except for the ravioli). And they could make a few dishes dairy free. (Right - an Italian restaurant?) The whole experience was excellent. The intimate setting, the friendly service, and the great food and drink. All made for a perfect occasion. She - the birthday girl - had the Seared Scallops on Risotto (GF). I had the Bolognese (DF). Both dishes, along with the Misto salad, were perfect. Richly flavorful, perfect texture. And the birthday girl enjoyed every bite of her tiramisu. We also enjoyed excellent red sangrias. Pleasantly dry, with a hint of spice. And the service was friendly and upbeat. We will be returning. Many times.
We found Libertine on OpenTable when looking for gluten free Italian food on the North End. The menu is 98% gluten free and the staff are very knowledgeable of gluten allergies. Our server was excellent, we never had to ask for anything. They served us gluten free bread before we ordered and with the soup I had. The bread was so fluffy and fresh, the best gf bread that I have ever had. Our server gave great recommendations and we loved everything that we ordered. We would highly recommend to anyone but especially to gluten free eaters!
Good vibes good food

We had a fabulous meal with top-notch service. I had the mushroom pasta - so flavorful! And we enjoyed a tasty appetizer that was made from fresh fish - excellent. Our server was terrific! Highly recommend!
Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options - even the bread they brought to the table!!

Terrible gnocchi, weirdest preparation of veal Marsala ever. Extremely loud and hot environment. Pretty over priced especially in comparison to some other north end places. Overall disappointing experience. Gluten free pasta was good other meals not that happy

I have been in the restaurant many times, is one of my favorite to go out in a weekend night to have some drinks and get some delicious food, this restaurant makes our nights, my gf love it cause they have almost an entire gluten free menu, the servers are knowledgeable about all the menu and drinks and they give good recommendations, the first time we went there, we got sit at the bar, Jose is one of the best on this place, he was explaining everything about drinks and food.

There are many great restaurants in this area that would love your business. Don’t waste your time and money in a place that doesn’t understand common courtesy. Courtesy should be extended at the restaurant and not as recovery strategy when someone writes a review. I will go out of my way to make sure friends at BU know not to waste their money but more importantly their time at an establishment like yours.
So here is a lesson you should learn that Customer Acquisition cost is expensive, but customer retention is cheap and easy. Once you get them in the door, you just to be nice to them for them to come back.

So many gluten free options. My husband (who doesn't eat gluten free) loved the calamari. Second time to eat here in last few days!

One of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Great selection of foods and wines. Very cozy environment. Great service. Don’t usually write reviews but this place is very special.

Food was somewhat underwhelming, e.g. French fries were soggy. Homemade cheese ravioli were good however, but not exciting. I'm also not a fan of restaurants that force a 20% tip even in a party of 2. I think there are better places around, but this place was the only one not busy.

Great food and our server was fantastic. We came during early bird on a Sunday so it was not busy.
