Stumped upon this spot and really liked what we ordered

I’ve wanted to go this place and made it in the late lunch on Saturday during my short trip to Boston. The hospitality was nice to offer the best seat available at that time with recommendations on food and wine. Great quality of time.

Wonderful stuffed squash blossoms, good pasta. Terrible sangria, pitiful two slices of ciabatta with warm olives served to table of three.

soooo good! excellent wine, absolutely perfect sweet corn tortellinis (they might’ve been raviolis), and divine strawberry basil dessert!

Sit at the bar. Cass was very attentive. The cucumber lemonade hit the spot. The pasta and lobster were excellent.

Worst service ever. Waited 1 hour for our order just to have a (new) waiter come and tell us that they did not have our order bc the other waiter went on a break and did not relay our order to anyone. Apparently they try tried calling the guy but he didn’t pick up. So rather than asking us, they decided to wait for a full hour before saying a word. Also mentioned that this was our anniversary dinner. The chef wasn’t even in the kitchen. He looked like he was meandering around and all tables were waiting for ages.

Amazing food! We had the octopus appetizer, lobster pasta, and sea bass. All the proteins were cooked perfectly and great flavor. Everything was served at a great pace. Prices were reasonable, especially compared to other restaurants in the area will definitely come back and would recommend to anyone looking for a good meal in the North End.

This spot was recommended to us by local friends, and we were nor disappointed! We were running late due to an Uber mess-up and we called ahead to let them know. They graciously held our table (the place was packed!) but we had to wait a few minutes at the bar. We decided to try the mocktail menu. Their cucumber lemonade was the best, most refreshing mocktail I've tasted anywhere, and we ordered more with dinner.
It's fairly small, and the place was buzzing with happy diners. We had spring pea agnolotti (with basil, butter & shaved parmigiana), which was fresh and delicious, while the lumache (with roasted mushrooms, snap peas and brown butter pecorino) was simply outstanding. The pasta melted in your mouth and the melding of flavors was a constant delight as we ate. We ended the meal with their ricotta and chocolate zeppoles ( which are not your standard carnival fare!) served with an amazing passion fruit curd. Wow! This spot is definitely on our list for a return visit when we come back to Boston!

Just okay. Like others, I had high hopes for this place but the food was just okay. The portions were also very small. For example, if you’re going to charge for bread, it would be appropriate to provide more than two pieces for a table. Additionally, my pasta was alright- but it was very small. Between my single piece of bread and small dish of pasta, I left feeling less than satisfied. Not every Italian restaurant needs to have huge portions, but one should not leave feeling like they could eat a sandwich after eating dinner at your restaurant.

We made a reservation on a Saturday night and thank goodness we did. People walking up were told there was a 2.5 hour wait. We sat on the restaurant side (about 12 tables total) and didn't even know there was a bar side. The kitchen was open so you could see the chefs at work. We started with the octopus and it was good, not as crispy as we usually have. For dinner, I had the bolognese with homemade pasta and it was so light and tasty. My boyfriend had a sweet corn homemade tortelli and it was delicious! We've never had anything like it! Our waitress was very nice, as were all the staff we interacted with.

Honestly, the food was great. The reason for only four stars is two fold. Firstly, although we were on time for our reservation, we watched another table sit empty for the 30 minutes we waited before they sat us. Secondly, although there appeared to be a number of servers, only one was serving all the tables. The pacing was great, the atmosphere was fine, and again, the food was delicious. Just think twice before booking the second seating.

Also putting pear vodka in red wine doesn't make sangria.

We really enjoyed our experience. The food was amazing. There is a limited menu, so if there is a picky eater in your group, look beforehand.

Decided to make a reservation for dinner with friends after stumbling upon it on a stroll around the North End. I had high hopes since the place looked busy a few weeks back and it looked different from the usual restaurants around the area. The only dish that stood out for me was the grilled octopus. Otherwise, the food was lackluster. Drinks were nothing special or creative. Our server would rather be somewhere else than work that day. I would recommend maybe having a glass of wine and that octopus dish at the bar.

The restaurant has two rooms. One with a bar and tables, the other just tables. The food is good, but it could be better.
Octopus is great, and my wife loved the Cape Fluke.
But the Fried Squash Blossoms aren't that great.
They have a lot of wines by the glass.
I got a Negroni Sballiagto before the meal. Unfortunately, it also needs some work.
