If you’re in Boston Backbay and craving a slice that punches above its weight, Little Steve’s Pizzeria is a must-stop. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of baked dough and melting cheese sets the stage for something special.
Their New York–style pizzas deliver in all the right ways: crust with just enough chew, edges that crisp and char in perfect spots, and a sauce that’s tangy but never overbearing. Toppings are generous—not skimped—and when you take that first bite, the cheese stretches luxuriously yet doesn’t overwhelm the palate.
I went with a classic slice, and it was everything I hoped for: warm, satisfying, with a balance of flavors that made me pause just to appreciate it. The staff were friendly and prompt, making the whole dining experience feel relaxed and welcoming.
Bonus points: their menu is more than just pizza. They offer hearty subs, build-your-own calzones, and sides that complement the main event. And it’s a late-night friendly spot—perfect for those post-event cravings. (Yes, they stay open late.)
All in all, Little Steve’s isn’t just a fallback for pizza lovers—it’s a destination. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make time for this slice of Boston pizza bliss.

Worst place in the entire area. The lady took a whole 20 minutes to ring in my order with nobody there. I ordered a Chicken Parm, the cook fried up 2 cutlets but the prep cook only put 1 all chopped up in my sandwich. The bread was huge and there was almost no sauce at all. I’m still mad I didn’t have time to check it, I would have asked for my money back immediately. A team of Hispanic lady’s who were rude and non comprehensive…and I’m speaking Spanish. Sad place! Skip it at all cost

Had a slice of cheese pizza and it was fine but nothing special. Wasn’t reheated much so it was lukewarm and the crust/bottom was doughy and soft, no crunch which I was hoping for with a round pizza slice shop like this. I wouldn’t object to getting pizza from here again but wouldn’t go out of my way. Maybe I’ll try and order well done next time.

I stopped by to grab a pizza slice after attending a concert at the Citizens House of blues. Reheated pizza, not so great, but the staff is friendly and the slice size is good. Prices are great considering the area.

Pizza is good, store is clean, staff is nice. Sandwich prices and wrap prices are ridiculous.

Great spot! Stopped by earlier this week for a lunch and was impressed with the menu, food and service. Not many places in the back bay anrea offer subs or wraps for a quick lunch. Loved the Caesar wrap! Will be back for sure!

This eponymous establishment changed the way that I view pizzerias. While the pizza was adequate and mildly pricey, that did not factor into a negative experience overall. Late nights at little Steve’s? That’s where I wanna be!

We ordered two subs here and pizza. I noticed right away the ham was rotten. It was gray as gray could be and a corner of the slice hanging out was dry.. like crispy dry. I brought it to the workers (owner maybe?) attention and he said he would go check and make sure the refrigerator was working and then offered to make me a new (not sure why I agreed to this) sub but then never did. He didn’t say why. So I then asked for a refund which he gave me. I then looked at my son’s BLT and noticed the soft bacon was also gray. He had already eaten half of it. I didn’t ask for a refund but showed the guy working. I’ll never go back. I am going to be VERY upset if we all get sick especially if my child gets sick.
I’m shocked at the guy making the sub that he would put that meat in and think that was ok.
My husband’s pizza was good though and the place was clean. The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one.
The best pizza EVER! And literally the friendliest conversation with Nice! You’ve got to GO!! 😋
